As a woman with mature skin, that is prone to acne and is sensitive, I love Nicinamide! My understanding that it's ideal to use a Nicinamide Serum that is 5%, not 10%. In the P.M I use a RetinAl Serum 3 nights a week, then use a Sleep Glycolic Serum, Encapsulated Peptides Serum and my moisturizer.

It’s absolutely changed my skin. The redness, discoloration, even my pores have “shrunk” (they’re just cleaner lol). It keeps the hormonal acne at bay, AND it’s cheap and not a sticky weird goop. I love the products La Roche Posay has that has that ingredient in them. They are great for my very sensive, very light, mature and , oily prone/ combination acne prone skin. I have not had any acne breakouts since then. Years! My skin looks so much better now.

It’s not “HYPE” its the reason why my skin doesn’t have any acne/blemishes. Been using it for 3 years now, The Ordinary one, and I am like a junkie. I never skip it. Its the one thing I use everyday for sure! 100%!!!

I had 2 large dark crusty spots on my face, after a year the doc referred me to get them cut off and biopsied. the appt was months away. I started to use a 12% niacinamide serum and vitamin c moisturizer. By the time the app. came around one spot was gone and the larger one was disappearing. It works

I have persisted with The Ordinary, my skin reacts. Also with the Cerave PM. I think the 10% might be too much for me.

Try GOW 5% niacinamide, I used to use the one from the Ordinary too with no problem but the one from GOW is actually more effective for me although the percentage is lower.

I was using niacinamide for two weeks and it was fading my pih tremendously! However I broke out in hives because I believe that using it continously caused me to be sensitive to allergies I could previously tolerate. Research said it produces histamine. Is this true?

I have sensitive acne-prone skin, and I don't really know much about skincare. But every expensive products I've tried absolutely burned my skin. It was frustrating. But one day, I happened to stumble across a cheap niacinamide cleanser and was thinking of using it temporarily before searching for a new cleanser(that would hopefully suit my skin at the time). Because of course, it's hard to believe in cheap skincare products. Beauty is supposed to be expensive. But I was wrong. My acne shrunk, and the inflamed area begins to lesson. It hurts less, and I was able to be comfortable. So imo, niacimide is downright a diamond ingredient
