Omg this was amazing that tunnel is incredible then to be that close or level to the falls is incredible, ducks and all! 🦆❤️ loved this so much thanks for sharing this! Loved seeing all those on the boat with their waterfall water proofs, that’s quite an experience! Great place at the rock house restaurant, amazing views 🤩🤩 this was an amazing share, thanks guys 😘😘🥰😘

I'm very much looking forward to your premiere tonight. I viewed your Canada Day Pt. 1 video five times since its premiere on Sunday, July 3rd. Your Niagara Falls, ON, videos (and your videos of other cities in Southern Ontario) are so inspiring that I've booked a week-long vacation in Niagara Falls. And your many walks 'round town and your recommendation of the WEGO bus lines in Niagara Falls informed me to try them out on my first trip to the exciting international destination last autumn. My hotel base was on the U.S. side, but I walked over the Rainbow International Bridge to enjoy a day trip to Niagara Falls' Canadian side. Since that day, and after viewing more and more of your resourceful and good-spirited vlogs, I made it my business to book a week-long stay. Hopefully soon you'll feature a video where you show us viewers Niagara Falls, NY, from your perspective -- as a Canadian citizen -- including going for a brief ride on the Niagara Falls Scenic trolley through Niagara Falls State Park; and boarding the free, hop-on/hop-off Discover Niagara Shuttle (May or June through early October) to explore other sections of Niagara Falls, NY, and other nearby Western New York cities such as gorgeous Lewiston and the old-town atmosphere of Lockport. In Lewiston, you could take us window shopping (please!) and show us the peaceful section of the Niagara River -- maybe even show us the lobby of the popular spa hotel on the steep slope that leads to the river. In Lockport, perhaps you could take us along for a sightseeing cruise on the Erie Canal. I haven't ridden the Discover Niagara Shuttle's Lockport loop yet -- my first time will be this coming October. Again, all of the Discover Niagara Shuttles are free to ride, something that I didn't know until I visited the Niagara Falls (NY) Visitors Center on Rainbow Boulevard. I totally lucked out by catching a ride on the last day of the Discover Niagara Shuttle, which last year was October 11th. I rode the shuttle on the Old Fort Niagara loop for several hours, catching great breezes, snapping photos of the wondrous Niagara Gorge and drinking in Lewiston's vivid, laid-back vibe, spotting small wildlife as the shuttle gently rode through and past parkland. On the shuttle's final loop, the kind driver & tour guide's fervent promise of a beautiful sunset appearing over the Niagara Gorge was actualized. Sunset was mesmerizing! Pink and lilac skies progressed dramatically to tangerine, lavender and violet swaths as the shuttle breezed its way back to Niagara Falls from Lewiston. To clarify: the Discover Niagara Shuttles begin their runs in the morning (this year, starting at 8:30 a.m.). I had to wait until afternoon to check into my hotel before heading to the Niagara Falls (NY) Visitors Center. So, by the time I finished listening to excellent guidance, and receiving brochures, from the kindest visitors center employee ever, the time was a bit after 3:30 p.m. when I boarded the shuttle. That clearly marked Discover Niagara Shuttle stop is located about a half-block from the cool spaceship-shaped visitors center. I lucked out that *that* shuttle was the one running the Old Fort Niagara loop -- which also has fascinating stops, including: a famous art museum, a historic museum dedicated to the Underground Railroad (especially given Niagara Falls, NY's, lifesaving geographical location across a river to freedom); an essential and beautifully designed power station; a famous donut shop; and the aquarium (which is immediately behind the start of the grand Niagara Gorge -- the U.S. side of it). Old Fort Niagara is on my must-see list for the Niagara Falls, NY, portion of my upcoming trip. Other than Old Fort Niagara's historical significance, part of the allure for me is looking out onto Lake Ontario from the amazing height of a fort structure. Of course, you'd be great showing us a walking tour or driving tour from the safe area on the U.S. side of the Rainbow International Bridge to the Canadian side. It's to be expected that you wouldn't be permitted to film the U.S. Customs process upon reaching the U.S. end of the bridge at the border and, when you're ready to traverse the bridge again, the Canadian Customs process upon reaching the Canadian end of the border. And I know that you know to carry your Canadian passport and to bring your Canadian (or U.S.) coins for inserting into the turnstile inside the Canadian Customs building so that you can proceed to the Rainbow International Bridge. I hadn't known about the coin entry, and the area had no Canadian Customs agents available, but thankfully I had a bunch of U.S. quarters. ( I wonder why Canadian and U.S. paper currencies aren't accepted. I imagine there hidden cameras there as well as the visible cameras all over the border [U.S. and Canada]. Ialso wonder whether the absence of a Canadian Customs officer in the area of the turnstile is usual.) I do remember seeing that both U.S. quarters and Canadian loonies were accepted by the machine/structure of the turnstile. That was unlike the human interface which I experienced with a Canadian Customs officer upon my arrival on the Canadian end of the international border -- i.e., after I had pushed my body through the revolving steel entrance to the bridge (no cost to go through the entrance, which resembles the old structures with spokes in NYC's subway stations) and then strolling for 15-20 minutes across the bridge (would've been quicker but I HAD to stop to snap lots of scenic photos). I was prepared, having properly entered my data via the Canadian government's ArriveCAN app within three days of my day trip. However, I was surprised that, during the ArriveCAN process, there was a requirement to select my ETA, *meaning at the Canadian Customs building*. Although I had chosen a 10 a.m. arrival, after getting carried away -- mid-bridge -- with photographing all three magnificent waterfalls (and zooming in on the tall building where bells rang chillingly in the neo-noir NIAGARA, starring Marilyn Monroe as the tragically coquettish "Rose" opposite Joseph Cotten's PTSD-stricken vet) Joseph Cotten) -- I nearly was late! At exactly 9:57 a.m. I spotted the Canadian Border Patrol officer stepping outside the Customs building. Thankfully I had begun speedwalking after snapping my final of, like, a dozen photos, so when the Canadian Customs officer greeted me while opening the door (seconds after I'd spied my wristwatch), it was exactly 9:59 a.m. ... and tick-tocking. lol Your videos showcasing Niagara Falls (ON) hotel lobbies were fantastic, honest reviews. My faves were the Marriott Fallsview (love the intimate seating areas with huge windows facing the Horseshoe Falls, and the live music inside the off-lobby lounge -- ooh, that guitarist-singer's acoustic version of EW&F's "September" was awesome -- as was his audience's enthusiastic applause) and the Tower Hotel (love how the friendly security guard smiled at your compliment toward him for granting you permission to film; and I love the hotel's World's Fair-era [???], MCM version of futuristic shape). ... Please consider taking us along more of those hotel lobby tours in Niagara Falls, ON (including the Holiday Inn, Travelodge, Vittoria Hotel, etc., on the medium-budget end as well as the Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, etc., on the much higher end). By the way, I wouldn't stay at the Radisson and the Doubletree hotels in Niagara Falls; I'm basing my firm decision on their refusal to permit you to film their lobbies. I wonder if some or many of your subscribers feel the same way.🤔 Perhaps the managers and/or security personnel had their reasons -- having nothing to do with you or your filming expertise -- but ... My goodness, you're so gracious and fair! Considering your growing viewership and sincere adoration of Niagara Falls, I hope that those two chain hotels' senior marketing and public-relations teams will check out your videos. Maybe by now they have. You sounded disappointed as you related to us that they wouldn't grant consent -- that's their loss. If those managers and public-relations folks DO view that video, they'll all drink in the utter beauty of your visual poetry, your respectful level of videotaping (you asked for permission), your charming engagement with locals and tourists alike, and your joie de vivre that's palpable as you stroll with your camera and make us viewers feel as if we're there having fun with you. And please ride the SkyWheel -- it's safe and fun. I can't wait to do several more revolutions ... if a rider can pay for multiple, consecutive (gentle) spins. I hope that I get to ride that Ferris wheel during sunset. The views are worth it. My first time on the SkyWheel was in the morning. Because of your Niagara Falls videos, I learned about the nightly (10 p.m.) fireworks over the Niagara River ending on October 10th of this year. (Thank you!) Am I recalling correctly that you hinted, perhaps a few months ago, about vlogging in Toronto? I'd love to see your videos in various districts of the Six. No doubt you'll exercise due diligence in advance to find out whether you'd be able to film extensively in St. Lawrence Market -- awesome, awesome foods and diverse array of merchandise -- and at least one video where you team up with fellow vlogger Lizzo C. Because of your admirable shout-out to her KZbin channel, I'm not the only travel-lover who tuned in to and binge-watched her Toronto-and-beyond vids, subscribing along the way. I apologize for the length of my comment. It's just that I rarely comment on KZbin anymore because I've been watching KZbin on television. Therefore, I can't see comments on screen, or I haven't a clue how to find the comments menu. Happy belated first anniversary on logging here on KZbin and a belated Happy Canada Day from this very happy subscriber to wegoplacestours!🤩

Hi Gabriela. Thank you so much for your kind comment. I’m so glad your enjoying my walking adventures and I’m happy it’s been helpful too. I enjoyed your story of your day in the falls and crossing the border and taking pictures of the Carillon Tower where movies scenes were filmed for the movie “Niagara”. I would love to go inside of that tower but I don’t think it’s possible anymore. The tower bells still chime certain times of the day. Btw I do want to go over to the states side and enjoy all the lovely scenery of the U.S side. I have to do some research first to see what’s involved with crossing, if I were to walk across. I’m happy you enjoyed lobbies walk, yes the Mariott Fallsview was lovely and I love that they have entertainment, it made me want to go back there again just to enjoy the music lol. Yes it’s too bad a couple of the hotels would not let me record inside but overall most of them were happy to allow it. It was a fun time exploring the hotel lobbies. Over the summer I do plan to ride the SkyWheel and hopefully a nice tour of some Toronto sights and yes hopefully another collab with Lizzo C. I really enjoyed reading your comment and appreciate your support. Thanks so much for coming along for the walk. Have a wonderful week. 😊👣🇨🇦

Hi and thanks, WeGoPlaces Tours for sharing. Wowow, Niagara Parks Power Station is now on my bucket list. Regarding the ceiling of the tunnel, kind of scary@10:46. 😁 Do you mind me asking if I need a reservation prior to the trip to the restaurant@28:40? I cannot wait for making a plan to the Great Lakes and then Niagara...Appreciate all info. 🤗
@WeGoPlacesTours2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Your welcome. Yes the Power-station is quite fascinating….it’s quite the experience to see the tunnel. The supports in the ceiling is normal to see that when it’s far down below the ground. We did not have reservations for the restaurant, however I would recommend making them if you want to be next the window. Also it’s pricey…so your aware, but the view is amazing! Hi Christine, I always look forward to your videos of Niagara Falls, ON... They bring back so many wonderful memories of when my wife and myself last visited during our honeymoon 30 years ago... It's really so awesome knowing that very little has changed on Clifton Hill since we were last there... My wife and I get a chuckle every time we see Castle Dracula, The Upside Down House, and House Of Frankenstein in your videos, as it's so very amazing to us that they are all still there 30+ years later lol. Anyhow, I'm hoping we'll be able to revisit once again before summer comes to a close... Meanwhile, by any chance would you possibly be able to make a video of Niagara Falls, NY? As I'd be very interested in seeing some walking videos of the American side of Niagara Falls as well... In the meantime, thank you so very much for all your awesome videos... Rocky and Cathy Pacilli

Hi. Thank you so much. Wow, that is lovely to hear you had your honeymoon in the falls. My parents did as well. At least some things still remain on the hill which is great….hope it doesn’t change as they are a fixture! Yes I’m hoping to go across to the U.S side this summer. I would love to explore it…I haven’t been over to the states side wandering for quite a few years….it’s on my list! I appreciate your kind comment and thanks so much for coming along for the walk. Have a great weekend. 😊👣🇨🇦

@@WeGoPlacesTours Thank you very much for your reply Christine.. I did forget to mention that if I'm not mistaken, a passport is required when entering Canada from the U.S... Therefore, I assume the same would also apply when entering the U.S from Canada.. Nevertheless, passports were never required until after the 911 attacks took place nearly 21 years ago, for which I'm sure none of us who were old enough back then to remember those horrific events caused by terrorism will never forget.. Anyhow, my apologies for getting off track, as that wasn't really my intention.. I just wanted to share that I'm originally a native of Lockport, NY which is 23 miles east of Niagara Falls, NY.. Unfortunately, nearly 41 years ago, I relocated to Pittsburgh, PA in order to land a better job opportunity and since then I ended up staying.. However, there isn't a day that doesn't go by that I don't reminisce about all those fond memories of my visits to Niagara Falls, ON and Toronto prior to relocating to Pennsylvania.. That being said, thanks to your walking tour videos, I feel so much of a reconnection to Niagara Falls and Southern, ON as though I never left and anxiously await looking forward in coming along with your upcoming walks... -Rocky
@WeGoPlacesTours2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rocky. Yes I think you need to show your passport when entering into Canada and for the time being you have to have the Arrive Can app showing your proof of vaccinations to cross the border. How times have changed! Oh I vividly remember 911, I was much younger at the time but you never forget. Thanks for sharing where your from and I’m so glad you enjoy seeing the falls. Hopefully you’ll get to visit again soon. Thanks so much for coming along. Have a great weekend. 😊👣🇨🇦

Thank you for all your videos. I found your channel when I was planning my trip to Niagara Falls/Niagara on the lake. I saw your videos to Niagara on the lake and that’s when we decided to go there. Have been to Niagara Falls many times but never Niagara on the lake. Your videos really helped me decide to visit there. What a lovely quaint town it is. We visited some wineries when we were there as well. Just lovely. We were just there June 21 through the 24th. Love watching your videos ,feels like I’m still there. I’m from Ohio. Will be back next June! I’ll definitely have to check out the new tunnel attraction next year!
