I bought Niagara Pro when it was first launched. It was only 200 INR ($2.5) for lifetime. I thought it is a really good launcher and very cheap price for a lifetime so I bought it. And I'm enjoying every penny of that purchase. It really was worth.

It is nice that all the icons is themed with ease and no difficulty. Maybe having an additional options to customise every icons individually that will be kool as well. But changing the phone themed on the fly is incredibly fantastic and refreshingly fun. Google should make changing the phone themed on the fly or exceptionally easy. 😎💯👊🏾👍🏾

you can actually choose a custom icon per app so if you want to make your own icons you absolutely can

Yeah they have been allowing it for over a month or so now, I have been using it on my pixel fold for months now.

It does not. As soon as you set it as the default launcher the task bar on this device goes away just like on every other launcher.

@@darrenflowers4506 I can't explain it, it just works on my device, I didn't have to enable anything, but I do have the pro version also, which I have had since 2020, so I don't know what else it could be, but it works fine for me, I even asked the developers of this app about it a while back, and they told me that they haven't been working with anyone from Google to be able to use it like that... It just has been working from day one for me.

@@scaryifliteral when I go into an app and swipe up like I do on the regular launcher it stays up the same amount of time like the regular launcher allows it to, now is he talking about it staying up permanently... If so then no it doesn't but as for it working like the regular pixel launcher then yes it does.

Dude... The stock oneplus launcher lets you use icon packs. You dont need a different launcher

I don't think I said otherwise. I said that your foldable probably has a launcher that doesn't, which is true. I used the Open as an example for material you theming because it was what was in my pocket.

@@scaryifliteral I get that but using Material You theming as an example is somewhat strange when the native OnePlus Launcher itself supports 3rd party icon packs. Material You is the same on every device. Not all icons are themed. Idk, the way this video was portrayed, it gives the impression that you’d have to add a 3rd party launcher in order to have access to 3rd party icons packs. On the Open. If you would’ve used the Pixel fold in this video it would’ve made much more sense. Not trying to pick nits here. It truly seemed that you were unaware in this video that the Open had 3rd party icon pack support.

It's literally on my list for my third tips and tricks video about the Open. what Niagara launcher is doing is taking the material you theming, and making it effectively universal. That's why I drew the comparison to material you theming. This wasn't about OnePlus Open, it was about Niagara launchers universal icons. I just happened to use the Open in the b-roll.

Samsung also lets you use material you themed or conventional icon packs via GoodLock but there's an app doing it better and more easily.

Nah! Couldn't imagine paying for a launcher when the Pixel Launcher is much better than any other launcher out there. Would much rather wait for shortcut maker to come out with an update for Android 14 ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
