Bonus tip as a Sombra main: Good Sombras will keep Rez in mind during team fights and they *will* set up to hack you out of it. Always always always check where she is before going for a rez. If you can't see/hear her chances are she's next to the soul waiting for you

The mid to low rank Moira callout hurts me because it’s so true. I’ve won games off focusing the Mercy as Moira because my team fails to do so. I’ve lost games as Mercy by being focused and having my allies abandon me so I have no GA target. I’m solidly mid rank, not certain where exactly, but damn I feel the Moira “if no one else will” comment. Ouch lol

Have you ever wondered why when Mercy Resurrects Dva she comes back in baby form, but when she Resurrects Wrecking Ball its not just Hammond but also the Ball? I wonder if Mercy gathers all the scattered ball pieces, welds them together and finally brings back the Hamster alive

It's just game limitations. Dva and Baby Dva are codewise two different characters, so when rezzing she Rez the Baby Dva character

Tip against bastion ult: Try to use superjump to doge projectiles if you notice you have noone away from the ult to GA to, being in the air negates most of the damage and if you do it quickly you don't get high enough to be targeted much by enemy hitscan (Bastion is already out of the picture so that helps too). Same goes mostly for doom ult but it's worse since it hits upwards too so that sucks, but the center projectile doesn't do damge here. So unlike bastion its easier to survive even if it's directly on you.

@Leo Chen 1: I said "if there's noone away from the team" meaning that you normally should GA to people outside bastions range. But that isn't always an option and sometimes you need to GA to people right next to you and then immediately Superjump to survive. 2: Yes I am aware of that, which is why I said "So unlike bastion it's easier to survive even if its directly on you" because Meteor Strike does not behave like bastion's ult.

in ovw2 you have I think 3 seconds where your dead ally can ping the enemy who killed them, which is extremely helpful if it’s a sniper for knowing if/how to safely rez. I try to always do this in my matches but ESPECIALLY if I’m sniped or have a mercy.

A thing I've noticed Are you the only person alive, and your whole team just died? Don't be afraid to jump off the map if you can nobody will get ult charge off of you, and regrouping may be faster When my friends pick up mercy for the first time, I tend to be the one teaching them what to do. Most importantly, how to disengage. Who is left alive during the fight? Do you have faith you can keep them, and yourself alive? Generally what works for me, are 3 rules: 1. How often are you below half health? (is the enemy team trying to focus you? Do you feel safe flying around with this player?) 2. Is the person you're keeping alive able to do reliable damage consistently? (like most tanks, symmetra, sojourn, reaper etc, not so much snipers unless they're like wicked good, or have ult) 3. Will that person survive if you keep beams on them? (Are they a hero with shields, or a support passive? Are they a tank with MIT abilities or armor?) If at least 2 of these are a no, I usually disengage, and let them die sometimes it's hard to let a teammate die, but it's most important you stay alive, as to not give the enemy team ult charge, and to keep yourself ready for the next teamfight, which may happen sooner than you respawn

Thanks for a wonderful Mercy Video! If any Mercy players can provide some advice, my question is what can I do as Soldier to help get the most from both characters? Would biotic field for a rez if nearby be useful for example, and how might sprinting and movement allow both out of a situation when pocketed? I personally love how boosted rockets basically one-shot 200hp targets, so a few bullets and rockets are how I go when pocketed, but I also want to position good so my pocket isn't in trouble most of the time as well. As a little Gold 2 mercy main...Personally I think you should stick to what's great for you as a soldier user! Mercy will know what's good for her, so when she follows you around she'll know where to position herself. Mercy works around the pocket not the pocket working around her! 😊 plus ur really fast as soldier, so running away together will be really easy as we can guardian angel further away than with most characters. As for Mercy when she does rez. If she's taking dmg and the other support isn't around. Your field could actually be super helpful. I love a soldier who puts it down when my Mercy is hurt, plus it gives u ult charge too so its a win win! That's all I can think of so far. Have fun with ur Mercy pockets and be extra friendly! 🥺

against more opportunistic kirikos, be aware of when she flanks you, and strafe to throw off her aim. she relies almost entirely on headshots to confirm solo kills. also be aware she can wall climb to high grounds

I'm a gold 2 support (mercy main) and I've never had an issue with beam giving my location until today. I was hiding behind a corner tucked away nicely and was damage boosting my tracer (everyone else was dead) and enemy Bastion was walking around the corner and I'd heard him go into turret form and expected my tracer to die as she backed off. BUT it was ME who died instead and I was so baffled as to how he knew where I was until I saw the kill cam and noticed just how frigging bright that dmg boost beam actually is😭. He could see its glow on the floor!!!! On darker maps like shambali monastery I'm usually careful with blue beam, but we were on one of the busan maps during the day and I didn't expect it to still be that bright. Lesson learned 100%

It is easier to avoid bastion ult if you SJ as it has little aerial range (obviously when possible and if SJing is the safest option). I usually prefer SJing for bastion ult cause bastions higher up sometimes hold their shots more

Do you *actually* lose to her or does it just feel bad? Because Sombra is genuinely not very good. She’s got a pretty bad winrate. A lot of times, people feel her existence but ultimately it doesn’t accomplish much. She’s like a really annoying gnat where it’s like you definitely notice her but she’s not going to do much besides be annoying.

TBH in lower ranks sometimes you _need_ to do the dumb DPS Moira thing to have a change at winnig and just dive the enemy Ana/Mercy; IF your team does not contest them at all and the enemy tank seem immortal. Just as she said, keep tapping the jump button instead of holding it. It's important to tap all the way instead of tapping after holding. This is because the animation kinda pauses when you keep tapping, meaning if you had your wings closed they will never open, but if they're open already due to holding they won't close
