In 1883 with no electronic entertainment that Quackenbush would have been endless hours of fun.

Even in the 70’s when the Sheridan was made there wasn’t much in the way of electronic distractions. Tv at night but I was always out in the woods with my airgun or 22 or out in the boat fishing for walleye.

I couldn’t find any reference to the air guns but the safety rifles sold for 6-7 bucks in 1894 so probably pretty close for the airguns too

For the post '77 guns you've just gotta look up the serial number charts available online for the Sheridans and the benjamins. People can feel free to disagree but in my mind the Sheridan C series is the greatest air rifle ever made. My '79 is my most prized position, I've probably put at least 10,000 pellets through it over the years. I have a Williams 5dsh peep on mine, and that's definitely the way to go. On a good day I can split cards and and split pellets on an axe bit at 20yds with my blue streak.

Have you ever tried the original sheridan pellets in this rifle. I would be curious to see how they compare.

I have not come across any of those older Sheridan pellets yet, I have been watching for some though. They always seem to sell for rediculous prices on ebay though.

Howdy! You may consider comparing the Sheridan Blue Streak to the Benjamin 342 made in Wisconsin at the Sheridan plant.
