24:50 I once saw Russ say in an interview that the songs aren't products, they're "salespeople". Each song you put out is a salesperson selling the product that is the artist. Some salesmen do better than others and bring more money to the business

3 points on the back end for a producer is industry standard with a major label artist. There are many more slices to the pie. With an independent artist, the producer is often entitled to a more even splits as there are fewer slices to the pie. Don't forget... producers promote their music too!

I agree totally when it comes to the producer talk. I only like to work with people close to me and I never give up a piece of my master royalties unless you're close to me and I have a relationship with me. Pub is all I'm willing to give but masters never or I'll give you a percentage if you work for it and if you aren't cocky about it

Helpful feature info - I dmed 100+ artists with 500k-1M monthly listeners and the co-release cost was usually $2.5k-$5k. I had one drop a few months ago and already made half the money back. Also did a paid feature but that did nowhere near as well. Overall, paid co-releases seem like a great way to go

3-5 points on the master is industry Standard for artists that are signed to a major label. It’s because the artists most of the time get only 20% of the master and the label gets 80%. So 5 points is like 25% of what’s the artist gets on the master side. For independent artists 25% of the master would be the equivalent for the producers share.

Out of curiosity, let's say the producer did help push the song and make content. What would be the issue with giving him/her 50% and just recouping before paying out every time? That way any time you put money into marketing you have to make your money back before paying out again
