The people who know what the fuck is up respect Tom. I think most people are afraid to claim to be a Platz fan because of the implications. If you claim to be a fan you better be on another level in the gym. None of this Selfie shit and cruising Instagram in-between sets. If you’re a Platz fan you better be the hardest working person in the gym every single day.

I remember a few months ago I wanted to do 20 reps of 315, so I warmed up and threw it on.. I did around 22-23 reps and getting stuck at the bottom on the final one, I had to use more energy to throw the bar off my back.. After that I hit the floor almost instantly, I was as close to passing out and dying as I've ever felt in my life so I mustered up the strength some how to stand up and almost convince myself to walk outside to wait for an ambulance if I did almost die lol. 20 rep+ squats has to be the hardest thing any human can physically do in a workout context. The things it does to your brain and your body is torture.. but when you do walk out of that gym alive It gives a whole new meaning to life.
@NicandroVisionMotivation8 жыл бұрын
''Legs is hard.. the squat is a seperate sport in my mind. It's hard.. It's gonna mess your nervous system up to the point to where you wonder why you wanted to go in the sport in the first place. It will ANNIHILATE you. It will show you that you're nothing every second. But then you push through it, you survive and you deserve the legs you get from that. It's hard to squat.. Believe me, people think I used to like the squat.. I like the feeling afterwards, doing it, the accomplishment. So many times when I did 50 reps, at 25 I was done.. At 35 I can't believe I did 35.. At 45 God was doing it for me.. At 50 I was just in a different world. And that's what you gotta do. Your breathing gotta get hard, you can't talk, everything is hurting, you can't breathe.. You take the belt off and fall on the floor. That's one set." -Tom Platz

This changed my life in ways you cannot imagine. First I started training legs to failure, 8 sets of pure pain sometimes I went longer than 2 hours, could bearly walk afterwords. Then I started to run realy long distances like 16, 25km after these runs I realised than I can take a lot more punishment than i think i could. After this I tried to run a maraton, in +32°C yes that hot, almost died trying did the maraton in 7h, wasnt satisfied tho, so 2 weeks later tried again, this time I did however in 5h and 30min. 42,2km god damn kilometers! After 25 I was done, after 30 I cand belive I ran 30, after 35 God was pushing me forward, after 40km I was in a different world! Ather running a maraton I realised I,m stronger than the people I fear, the people I,m afraid. Some time passed and I finnaly started talking to girls in my workplace, not onlythat I starded to aproach random girls in the park and talk to them, with no stress whatsoever. I had killed my inner demons... and all of this becouse I listened to some Tom Platz motivation on youtube XD. DO THE IMPOSSIBLE, MAKE KT HAPPEN I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT trust me your life will get better!
