The motifs of the ceramics and pottery are insane, esp anything indigenous is beautiful. Reminds me of traditional tribal art from the pacific islands but leagues on their own as masterpieces.

Yep, its always a better experience when you have a local person take you are to the local spots that the locals frequent. The tourist traps tend to branch away too much from the real deal and cater with unauthentic reality. Only risk with a local "guide" is that they are true to you and honest because there are some who will rob you or worse. Always try to find authentic vs. tourist places to visit for food and so forth. $100 is a lot of money down there...price seems high so beware.

Funny that you got food poisoning in Japan of all places! It’s one of the most hygienic countries in the world. I’ve been only to Mexico dozen times (the only Latin country) but never got sick.been to China at least twenty times and I get sick one out of four times (never got sick in Shenzhen or Hong Kong). I lived in Japan for 18 years and never got sick but I’m not as adventurous as you two either!

Hi guys. Glad you made it to Nica. I tried to entice you guys there when we had our home on Playa Popoyo a couple years ago. Also happy to see you're teaming up with Elton, Courtney and Elliot. I watch their channel as well. Have to say though, you could have done MUCH BETTER at intorducing them to your viewers. Consider doing them solid with a proper introduction. Maybe even a link to their channel? I'm sure they would appreciate it!

Did you just say that Nicaraguan tamales are better than Mexican tamales? Not Mexican here I am an Islander who now resides in Northern California,. But love tamales from Mexico all the time that I have been eating tamales I always thought that it was better than any other country that makes them or maybe like you said ( personal preference ) What makes delicious tamales is the filling ( Meat, cheese, or beans ). or the lard, masa harina, or the corn husk. What is the difference as far as taste and flavor between the two? Thanks. ❤

I never ask what the difference between a New York style pizza and a Chicago style pizza. Offfffff point: honestly, today the difference New York has to use electric ovens now LOL!

They are describing how it test and how the texture is
@TaklyntheWorld3 ай бұрын
Personally, I find typical mexican tamales to have too much masa to filling ratio plus most people also make their tamales too dry. It's why I love the ones from Oaxaca. Less masa, very moist masa, and also mole filling is soooo good. Oaxaca style has the best mexican tamales, imo. Tamales from Nicaragua is way less masa and like Taku said, kinda mashed potato-y texture. More filling than masa.
@MM-gg3rg3 ай бұрын
I'm Nicoya, IMHO, nacatamales are better. Even in California, nacatamales are hard to find! Like Josselyn said Oaxacan tamales are also pretty good, I love the Mole and Chile Verde.🤤😋
