@@tlaloqq Whether or not your question is rhetorical, I'll try to answer it as sincerely and concisely as I can. Neoplatonism, pioneered by St Augustine and refined by St Thomas Aquinas, defined all of western philosophy. It's impossible to seriously love truth and to revere man's struggle for some semblance of it throughout history without acknowledging a deep debt to Christianity, even if you're not personally an adherent. It's psychologically shaped us all in ways difficult to fathom, from our basest conceptions of goodness, power, rationality and individuality (Kant, Hegel, Locke, etc). The more you immerse yourself in the historical development of knowledge the more you learn that that sect was an essential prism to filter and coalesce the collective consciousness of mankind.

The gameplay for Fallout : New Vegas is pretty rough around the edges, but the story is still to this day easily one of the best fictional stories I've ever encountered. Plus, they give you a lot of freedom to control how the events in the game play out by always providing multiple options for the quests.

Funnily enough I bought this book recently. Learned about stoicism in my 3rd year of college, jokingly talked about it with an older friend of mine. They immediately said they thought of me as a stoic and assumed I already knew that I was. Figured I should learn more from the man who literally wrote the book on stoicism (granted I don't think he was the first).

Thank you. I work, and having a free audio version of this narrated by the voice of a really impactful character really helps me with my lack of free time and my want to read. I’ve always wanted to read Meditations, but knew that it was written classically, and would have trouble reading it. Hearing it spoken aloud with inflection helps me understand the text.
