Unfortunately no, our electric will not feature the USB charging ports. I’m very interested to see how these will perform in the snow 👀

@@devonsatchell ohhh mb, yes the buses do have to be plugged in to charge. About that, NICE is currently having issues setting up the chargers so that’s why it hasn’t been out too much lately, that’s also the reason why it’s mostly operating on routes like the n16 and n43, for the time being at least.

Believe it or not, I didn’t find this out until last Friday but when I rode 2080 on the n6 that day, I just noticed that it had USB charging ports in the back section of the bus ONLY.

We got some here in our fleet in Ottawa, Canada as well. Us Canadians sure do know how to make good buses 😊. I just wish they brought back more of the diesel New Flyers

I personally miss the days when New Flyer was manufacturing buses that were NOT Xcelsiors, it would’ve been really cool to see those old models make a come back to the market. It would’ve also been cool if Orion was still around to this day but it is what it is.

@@NeilQVLGA6455 I work as a Bus Operator and I personally drive the New Flyer D60LFR’s and and New Flyer D40i Inveros daily. Some of the nicest buses I’ve driven, and they handle beautifully through turns, and are fast. Our oldest New Flyer is from 2003 and still drives with about 950,000km (about 590k miles).

I’m a bus operator here in Ottawa and we have lots of New Flyers in our fleet. Some of my favorite buses to drive are the artics. Super comfortable and surprisingly easy to turn. Too bad they’re getting old. I drive the New Flyer D60LFR regularly. We also have a couple of the D40i Inveros.

The article was saying that NICE was expanding Mitchel Field Depot to accomdate Electric buses and charging systems across the street and it would be right on time for the next electric bus order in 2025. Seems NICE will be buying a mix of Electric and CNG buses in the forseeable future.

Does it have USB ports? If not, then what was the point of obtaining these buses if it doesn’t have USB ports or “Next Stop…..””This Stop Is……”. They have the screen, so why not do that alone with busfographics? Okay. After watching it a 2nd time, it does have USB ports. Just hope it works. Though the other questions still stands.

You seem to forget that electric buses dont emit anything into the atmosphere, that's the whole point. USB ports are just a nice thing to have.
