Did she "get it" or was she thinking, the sooner I go along with this, the sooner he'll go away and leave me alone? I don't think she "got" anything new. I think she was brought up when "don't walk away when I'm talking to you" was an important rule.

Dear Jean was just like my mother. She had a certain kind of Christian faith - because in her day everyone believed they were Christians. When I was saved (at 37) my mother and other members of my family thought I was 'over the top' and I spent ages trying to explain the true gospel to her. She slowly started to believe and then one day she began to read the Bible, and then took herself off to church one Sunday on her walker. She was nearly 80 when she was saved. She only had 6 years as a Christian - but will have eternity in heaven with Jesus - praise God. Be patient with your elderly friends and relatives - it takes a while for their old ways of thinking to be broken - so the gospel can be planted. I thank God for your kindness and patience John when witnessing to the lost - of no matter what age or background. May He continue to bless your ministry for Him.

Lord only you know the burdens I face give me strength to get through this Christmas. I am a single mom and it can be hard to have everything on your shoulders. Both of my sons are autistic they require so much from me. I’m struggling to provide for them. But I keep faith even as I struggle to pay rent every month and as I struggle to buy groceries. My health is also fading due to heart disease and lupus. Jesus please help me to find strength when I am weak, hope when I am struggling, and peace in the midst of chaos. I have faith God will provide. I believe in miracles. 😢

If you call a few churches in your area that would be close to what you believe and ask to talk to someone who may be able to guide you to services that may be able to help you.

I pray that this dear lady and others like her continue to hear the Word regularly and read their Bibles for themselves. I was under the impression that many churches in Europe have closed due to falling attendance. Even a small Bible study for (new) Believers to learn together in would be a welcome treat. God bless this minister of the Gospel and those who hear and respond.

What a precious lady! It’s harder though for “nice” law abiding people to think they need Jesus! So many think their “goodness” will get them to heaven, it’s such a lie from the out of hell! There are going to be millions of sweet, loving, caring , well meaning people in hell 😭 No one is “good enough” for Heaven! The only pass in is through the blood of Jesus! Not OUR goodness but His perfection! I pray this woman truly accepts Jesus! I would love to meet her in Heaven!

I can sum up Christmas in one sentence. Buy now,pay later. I think that sums up what will happen for most if we don’t break away from the message of Christmas. It is primarily a pagan festival which has been wrapped around the momentous occasion that was the birth of Salvation. What it has manifested into would make Satan very happy indeed. Greed,gluttony and over indulgence all supposedly in the name of Christ? The date is pagan. The tree is pagan . The mistletoe is pagan. The Yule tidings are pagan. The over indulgence is pagan. None of it has anything to do with the teaching of God.

Christmas is a winter festival, copying Chanukah and Diwali, with lights and high-calorie food. The religious bits are pegged on, to ensure compliance. I wonder if this lovely woman got up this morning, and thought, I know what I'll do today - I'll go to the shops and hope some smug evangelist will patronise the life out of me.

Lesley. This evangelist knows that all people who haven’t repented and put their trust in Jesus are dead in their sins. Far from been patronising he actually cares enough about this lovely woman to tell her the Good News about Jesus and with God’s grace she will be saved and not end up in hell. This is probably one of the most important conversation this women will ever engage in.

Jesus was born in September. Scholars agree on this. Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus Christ really except that He was likely conceived around that date. The pagan sun god was supposedly born on 25th December and the early roman church amalgamated paganism with Christianity and that’s where most of the holidays come from. Jul (Yule) was a norse fertility god and the yule log was a phallic symbol. In the Old Testament God himself talks against decorating trees with silver and gold like the pagans do. Long story short Christmas is 99% pagan

Don't worry about all that my friend (I believed it too at one time) just choose the "best thing" if you are saved - and sit at the feet of Jesus and then witness to the lost. Then you will have fulfilled the calling God has for you.
