Awwww....this song..... When I was a young teen there was a national radio show called American Top 40, hosted by Casey Kasem, that EVERYONE listened to religiously every weekend. One of the things they did on the show were 'Long Distance Dedications'. People would write in (letters!) to Kasem and he'd read them on air and play the song being dedicated. I was a teen in stupid crazy teen love and sent one in about this girl, Sue, that I was crazy over. It got picked and they played it. Now, 40ish years later.....every time I hear 'Somebody's Baby' I think of Sue....like I am right now.

Jackson Browne has to be one of, if not the most overlooked artist from the 70's. He is responsible for one on of the Eagles biggest hits "Take It Easy". He wrote the first half of the song and could not for the life of him figure out how to finish it. He was stuck on the line "I was standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona". Glen Frey of the Eagles was living below him at the time and Browne gave the Eagles the song after Frey finished the lyric "I was standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona. Such a fine sight to see, it's a girl my lord, in a flat bed ford slowing down to take a look at me". The song was the Eagles debut single and took the song to #12 and never looked back.

Jackson Browne was a neighbor of Don Henley and the late Glenn Frey, RIP, in the 1970s. JB combines singer-songwriter with country, rock and pop. In the movie 🎥 Fast Times in Ridgemont High. Written by Jackson Browne and Danny Kortschmar. The song appears when Filipina- American actress Phoebe Cates appears! 🤯 The music video has no movie clips: in 1982 , the Internet was not widely available to the public then. Always loved this one. He is in Australia at the moment, and is sick, he had to cancel concerts in both Melbourne and Sydney this weekend. Hope he is better soon.

Jackson Browne - She's Somebody's Baby, at first glance I thought it said "Jocelyn Brown - Somebody's Else's Guy"

I saw Jackson Browne in Knoxville TN 1983. He was opening along with Joe Walsh for Stevie Nicks on her “Wild Heart” tour 🔥♥️🎼 Never forget it! Great reaction!!

I just love you guys! Watching you experience my favorite singer makes me smile. I became a fan at 10 years old in 1974 when I won his Late for the Sky album in a radio contest and still listen to him everyday. Love your channel !!

Jay & Amber, you'll love his "The Pretender" and "The Load Out"!!! "The Load Out" is normally followed by "Stay" which you've already done.

Jackson Browne is an amazing writer and this song is one of his best. I am partial to this song because as an 80's kid the movie Fast Times @ Ridgemont HIgh was one of the best movies ever made and this song was focused a couple of times during it. Check out Jackson Browne's duet with Clarence Clemons (Bruce Springsteen's sax player) - "Your a Friend of Mine".

Try "The Pretender" or "In the Shape of a Heart". You reacted to his song "Stay", but you need to re-do the song with the song "The Load Out" which accompanies "Stay". They go together.

There's a movie in the works about the guys in the band, Immediate Family, who were the studio/touring musicians for Jackson Brown, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Phil Collins, Stevie Nicks, Carole King, Keith Richards and more. Unlike the artists of the '60s in The Wrecking Crew who got no credits on the recordings of the Righteous Brothers, Everly Brothers, Mamas & Papas, Beach Boys, Byrds, Monkees, Frank Sinatra and many more, these guys were listed by name on nearly all the albums they recorded, and were named by the stars when they were on tour. When you get to see the movie later this year (hopefully) this is one of the featured songs co-written by one of the Immediate Family guys and featuring him and another on this 1982 recording.

You’ve heard this song before. It features HEAVILY in the Fast Times At Ridgemont High soundtrack. You watched that movie a few months ago. This song appeared like 4-5 different times throughout that movie

This song always makes me think of the movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Anyway - Jackson Brown has a velvet voice with enough grit to make it rockin' even when he's performing softer songs.
