Hi, thanks for the video. Is it easy or rather difficult to replace the Mindy A824 door control unit with the MC824H? Is this possible for a layman and if so, is there anything special to consider? I would be grateful for any advice. KR, Uwe

Hi, thank you for the videos; how do I program the MC824H to stay open (ie. I want to keep the gate open for a few hours for an event I am hosting).
@EasyGatesDirect7 ай бұрын
Hi John, There are a couple of options for you to keep your gates open for this scenario. Firstly (and most common), would be to latch a contact across the ‘OPEN’ terminals on the control panel. This will send an open command, and hold the gates in the open position until removed. One of the more popular products to use for this is something like a latchable key switch. This will allow you to manually override this as and when necessary, without the need to constantly go into the control panel. Alternatively, if you have a remote programmed in a step-by-step mode, if you were to press the button on the remote before the gates reach the fully open position, this will send a ‘Stop’ signal. Because the gates aren’t fully open at this point, the auto-close function will not kick in. Supposing the gates are 95% open, this is usually a quick solution for the gates to hold open for a longer period without the need for any 3rd party products. We hope the above helps! Any other queries, please let us know. Many thanks The EasyGates Direct Team

Hello, do you know if the MC824H can hold with the remote On2e a gate opening function on button one and opening another device like garage door with the 2nd button ? I used to have this on an old A6F on which the door motor was connected to the position 41/42 (marked as second channel/Radio) but can't figure out how/if possible to do it with this MC824H. Ps: I've tried to connected to SbS but during opening the garage door it was yet puting the gate into pedestrian mode (partial open) before it closes again. Preferably I would like to have to gate to not move and the garage door only to operate? Might be more on a close or stop command then (so when I open the garage door, it send either close or stop command to the gate) ? Any thought ? Thanks

Hi there, Thanks for the comment. Yes this can be done by registering the remote in mode 2 of programming. This will allow you to register each button individually. If you originally registered this in mode 1, then it will have automatically assigned both channels of the remote (button 1 as SBS, and button 2 as Pedestrian opening). If you have this remote learnt already, then you will need to delete if from the memory first, and then code it in via mode 2. To delete the individual remote, press and hold the learn button and keep pressed. As soon as the green led lights up on the receiver, simultaneously press and hold the button on the remote until the green led on the receiver flashes 5 times. This will confirm deletion of that remote. Note; you must keep both the button on the receiver held as well as the button on the remote in this process. You can then move on to programming just one channel from this remote back into the memory on the receiver. Press the learn button on the receiver briefly just once and release. The green led should be flashing once per second. Whilst it is flashing once per second, press and hold the channel on the remote you wish to learn in and keep this held until you get 3-longer flashes on the receiver. Do the same again at the receiver for the garage, but make sure to use channel 2 of the remote to learn in else you’ll have the same button opening both gate / garage at the same time. For more information on remote programming for this board, please see the below link to the section for remote learning on the MC824H: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqKug6CZjayspM0 If you have any further queries, please let me know. @@EasyGatesDirect Thanks for the very quick response. I did watch indeed the programming video but didn't get the point on how to plug (and so program the remote) the wire coming from the garage door motor and then how to assign the 2nd button to this point. In fact the contact is a simple NO contact with the 2 wires. For now my remotes are only programmed for the 1st button that make the open - stop or close of gate. Wonder if that's even possible to operate as such with this board (one button to manage the gate and the second to operate the garage door motor)..

Hi. When i did the position limit search the gates closed as described but they never opened themselves to set open limit. I then turned the wires around so when i started the process again the gates would open but when i hear the click on the board for the power to go gates nothing happens. Any help.would be great thanks

Hi David, We usually see this when the gate being set up is for a single leaf and so only requires 1 motor output. If you only have one motor connected, then you will need to make sure the output used is ‘Motor 2’ and ‘ENC 2’. If you are currently using M1 output, then this is the behaviour I would expect to see. By Switching this over, this should overcome this issue you are having. If this doesn’t solve your problem, let us know and we’ll be happy to help. P.S. Make sure to revert the polarity to how it was to ensure the gate runs to the close position first when learning the limits. The Easygates Direct Team

How do you re-programme the numbers stored in the Nice MAC1 controller. These are the numbers it calls when you press the intercom? I recently purchased a property and the previous residents had their number stored. I've changed the SIM card but the Kocom intercom is still dialling the previous numbers.

Hi Paul, Unfortunately, this is not something that can be adjusted via the Nice MC824H Controller as this PCB is used for the function of the motors, and not the intercom. You will need to refer to the manual for the intercom you have fitted, and find the programming procedure for this unit (this is typically done via texting a programming code with the replacement number over to the SIM card fitted in the intercom). If you are unsure of this programming, or would like some assistance in finding the correct manual, please send over some images of the intercom and any controllers it is attached to, to technical@easygates.co.uk and we shall see what we can do to help. The doors start to open, but after 0,5 m stops and close again. After 2 or 3 such repeats the gate open completely. I wonder what can be a reason for that? A failure in the device NICE MC824 H or in a motor T05024 HS?
@EasyGatesDirect10 ай бұрын
Hi Mato, It sounds to me that the PCB is conducting a force reversal. The simplest way to identify the issue would be to look at the ‘BlueBus’ LED as this doubles as a diagnostic indicator. Normally, this would be flashing a steady green once per second. However, when a fault is present, this will change to a series of red flashes. If you could count the number of flashes between each pause, this will inform us of what the problem is. 3 flashes is a force reversal by inherent obstacle detection. This usually only presents itself when the forces are either set too low, or when the motors are drawing too high of a current. If the motors are having to work too hard to pull the gate open, it may be down to an installation issue with the positioning of the motors relative to the hinges. I should first diagnose what issue is present, then maybe contact our technical team for a solution. We normally ask for images of the installation to better help diagnose the issue. Thank you for your comment. If the remote is not operating the gate, then you would be best to check the LED flashing next to ‘Bluebus’. If there is an error present on the board, then this will act as a diagnostic LED and flash a number of times to indicate which fault is present on the board. For example. If the LED flashes red twice, there is a photocell error. 4 times would indicate a ‘Stop’ circuit fault. Check whether the LED status changes on the Bluebus input, and refer to the error table in the manual for a full list of faults that could possibly being displayed.

Trying to program a new 2 button Nice remote but when i press the remote button after holding the learn button to get solid green, the remote only flashes two red flashes and nothing more happens. Any suggestions? Is there a way to reset the remote to factory settings? I did try taking out the battery for 1/2 hour but did not work. Thanks
@EasyGatesDirect10 ай бұрын
Hi Leslie, Firstly I would need to check the model of the remote control that you have. Is this the Nice ON2E or ON3EBD? (Model ref should be on the back of the transmitter). Usually, if there is anything preventing a remote being coded in, it would be on the receiver side. This could be something like the receiver being blocked by a PIN code, or that the remotes have been engineer coded. However, this is usually indicated via the LED on the top of the receiver, not the transmitter. If you could let me know the transmitter model, we should be able to help get you a bit further in programming this up. Many thanks. The Easygates Direct Team
