I need your advice/opinion as a mercy main. Anyone can also give their own opinions for comment. I'm about to leave. Information: playing comp with my husband, Low Dimond for both of us, (Even though my husband threw his GM games to reach my rank to play with me) Map: Lijahga Tower (Don't know how to spell it) Team comp: Roadhog, junkrat, reaper, mercy, and bridget *Focus about the Dps and Bridget in this story* • Me (Mercy) and my husband (Roadhog) got into a game with trio we weren't aware about. When pushing to point, we all died, leading my dps to have mo kills when they team killed us. I'm very disappointed with our Dps, and I can't really pocket because, in my opinion, Bridget can't heal much. I was ahead of this Bridget healing by 1k wasn't bad, but they told me to switch and pocket during the first point. I declined because I could heal the team, but I couldn't pocket, which they demanded a pocket. End of first point *LOST* New round: THEY KEPT CRYING AND COMPLAINING, I SWEAR TO GOD IT WAS HORRIBLE. THEY KEPT SAYING THIS: "FOR FUDGE

- Healing isn't your main priority as Mercy. You need to be damage boosting. Don't even look at your healing number, it doesn't amount to how well you played or how much value you provided to the team. Stop thinking about your healing or using it as a justification for your performance. - You need to be **damage boosting**. The reason they can't get a kill is because they're not doing enough damage, but if you were damage boosting them, they would most likely have been able to secure more kills. You can't really complain about them not getting kills if you're sitting there **heal botting**, aka literally only healing, and providing no other value to the team. - Brig is a bad pair with Mercy. If they don't switch off Brig, you should switch off Mercy. - What is your % blue beam usage, and % yellow beam usage? It should be about 60-70% blue beam, and 30-40% yellow beam. If your yellow beam usage is overwhelmingly large, which it sounds like it may be based on your comment, then **you are the problem**.

above comment is right. healbotting on mercy is genuinely the most useless thing, bc you could be healbotting on like ana and get more value. bc even though healbotting is bad on any support, at least on ana/kiri/bap it’s a lot more reliable/faster and they have more util. also if they’re telling you to pocket them but their stack stays an off healer, just pocket them and if your tank dies due to lack of heals, they can’t really say shit. your husband seems to like tank but he also needs to realise that you are mercy and your heals are weak on him. you need to be pocketing dps and getting value out of dmg boost and rez. remember, it’s called support not healer! you’ll find once you stop looking at stats, the game becomes a lot better. however on a personal note! they seemed like dicks and you never deserve those toxic comments. keep trying and learning mercy and support you got this :>

obviously it’s overwatch so they didnt communicate it nicely but in fact yes they’re right, Mercy always should be pocketing her DPS, otherwise u dont play Mercy the last thing u should be doing is brag about how much heals u provided as Mercy. If ur brig only had 1k less healing than u, then she was completly fine without u, u should have boosted ur DPS and stopped stealing the ult charge that could have go to Brig u keep saying « i’m not going to pocket them since they don’t kill » but girl, they still aint going to kill if u dont help them !! the situation isn’t going to get better with just heals so u boost them or u switch to do damage on ur own but u dont healbot like u did U look at the stats, u find the one DPS who isn’t completly bad and u boost him ! It will help them to secure kills and u will have a chance to win. Only healing while ur allies struggle to kill isn’t useful. Mercy can heal and boost pretty easily, u don’t have to sacrifice one for the other, u should do both and also, the healings stats doesnt mean anything about your performance in the game. Ennemies healers had less healing, okay, but that’s completly logical since u didn’t boosted ur DPS and since u said ur DPS were under-performing, they dealt less damages so the ennemies healers had less to heal. On the other hand, ur team was dying a lot, so they took more damages which is why u have a bigger healing stat. It doesn’t mean u performed better, u just had more to heal with brig. Also, u had a roadhog, which is a big target for everyone so there is a lot to heal comming from him Also, maybe those healers had big damages so they got kills while u didn’t since u were just healing and not boosting. There is a lot of things than come in consideration to know if a support performed well and it cant be reduced to the healing stat. Having a lot of heals and almost no damage amplified as Mercy is called healbotting and healbotting is the worst strategy u can think of while playing Mercy, if u wanna healbot it’s better to pick another support with stronger heals Others supports are going to heal as much (if not more) as an healbotting Mercy AND inflict damages, eventually they will provide more to their team than u do if u stay stuck on the yellow beam Which is why u have to boost ur DPS, because if u dont, u dont provide anything more than another support can. Rez isn’t enough to make the difference. U have to use Mercy’s whole kit to make her impactful A mercy who is helping her team get kills with damage-boost is a thousand times more impactful than a Mercy who just heal everyone like a bot obviously u didnt knew that and that’s completly normal because every Mercy player does that mistake while learning her, so dont blame urself !!! they were still dicks, they could have explained it nicely

Healing isn’t important , most important thing is dmg boost because it’s the only special thing about mercy. If they tell you to switch and you guys lost one point already be kind and switch , maybe kiriko , or ana . But if they are toxic I would recommend to just say shut up I’m learning because it’s literally the truth .. nobody dropped from the sky and already was an ow2 pro player . It seems like you just focus on your husband more , that’s cute of course tho but remember it’s a game with each team 5 people ❤️

hold down space (or whatever button is to jump on controller) so you slowly glide down. make sure you hold it after you rez if you don't want to fly over or above it. but you can still hold it after doing a jump rez as well.

Lùcio ult, Zen ult, Lifeweaver ult + lifegrip (and u can often deny the blade without tree), if they have decent gamesense Mercy, Moire and Kiriko can escape it most of the time… More difficult but Ana can sleep it sometimes and Bap can just jump above… Without talking about the ways to outheal it (Mercy heals + Ana nade when Genji isn’t nano, heals in Kitsune rush… And I am just talking about situations I saw in game…) NanoBlade is strong and sometimes frustrating but Genji has to play well to not be denied so… to me it’s balanced And right now I am just talking about what healers can do against him but in fact there is a lot more counter

It's always really nice when a team works well together despite being totally random 💖 I can't tell if it's cause my rank is low or I'm just plain unlucky but... Yesterday I got the same healer twice that kept blaming me every time they died 🥲 As if I was watching them die or something, when I was genuinely keeping others alive and couldn't get to them... They starting Life Gripping me to them to force me to heal them but that usually lead us to both dying... This season has been so rough
