so happy to hear this song! I remember when I bought that CD by Dave Grusin, I was a kid and this gives me very nice memories. Amazing interpetation, feel and timing you rock it Uwe ! I have a digital Yamaha CLP 745 and I'm always wondering if the key action is good enough to keep it for long, I bet the VPC1 is fine.

Definitely Grusin's swinging fingerprint on this classic; made even more apparent by your interpretation and distinct style of playing. Which is always a pleasure to listen to. Gets me in a good mode on a frosty winter day😊. Btw, this sounded incredibly well on your new equipment (replacing a grand piano can definitely be a challenge...) Well done👍

Thank you, Tom. Actually the touch is the same, since the Kawai VPC1 has build in an original keyboard of an acoustic piano. So I'm still playing an acoustic piano - concerning the touch 😊

I still wish you did not sell your acoustic Baby Grand Piano . The sound you got firm that little Yamaha GA1 was So ‘GRAND’ . Someone like You (who plays & records like You ..) deserves a real live acoustic grand piano. Besides … it word be a service to humanity …. And a service to the historical instrument itself ….. that You are either given , or given access to , a fine acoustic grand piano . Your expertise of recording a ‘LIVE ‘ & ‘BREATHING ‘ acoustic grand piano … along with the mmmm your fine performances & arrangements & adaptations & compositions ….

Thank you, Christian! Yes, I have the Kawai VPC1 since I moved to Bavaria. Very good keyboard! But the sound is coming from Synthogy's "Ivory 3" - highly recommended! I'm not sure if I will make a medley of the "Gershwin Connection", since other Grusin tunes are first on my list... let's see what will happen 😊
