@@TheHonestAudiophile I also pronounced "NiceHCK" as "Nice Check", although that is not what is written.

I had this set for a while and to me ,this is one of the best bargains on the market and a definite sleeper, provided you can use two or three bands of EQ in front of it. Without EQ it's not great, but it readily shows its potential. First, it has very good bass with a ton of headroom and the treble is smooth and pleasant even if a tad veiled. Compared to generic BA treble, this one is a step up. The fact that it packs 7 drivers in a small shell is great. Unlike the Honest Audiophile I love how it fits and stays in my ears better than pretty much any other IEM I have. Only one single DD Blon that I have equals its comfort, but it does not sound nearly as good while doing it. I bought my NX7 MK4 on Amazon for well under $100.00 and they can be had for around $50.00 used. I compared mine side by side to Ziigaat Cincotres on the same material and at the same volume and it was damn close. On some material it sounded worse, but on other it was preferable. I would take it over the Hexa with zero hesitation. The Hexa is anemic and boring in comparison.

These have an excellent fit and isolation for me. Different ears. But I told in comments to another reviewer that black filters were too bloaty for me. On that we agree. Default gold filter is what generally works. Does not matter anymore, I received my Mese Alba.

Id choose smoothness over details. Can't stand ear fatigue.

Any chance you could give a recommendation on a very flat iem in the sub $100 range? I was looking at the Hexas but after seeint your video I'm starting to have my doubts 😅

The Tin Hifi T2 original is the "flattest" neutral IEM under 100 that I can think of. The Ziigaat Cinno is another consideration but it is warmer and a little bassier.

Thanks for the suggestions! Watched your videos on both and sounds like the T2 is exactly what I'm looking for in terms of sound. I'm still definitely more partial to a more classical iem design. Any chance you have more suggestions or perhaps how those compare to the hexas?

@job5546 the Hexa is neutral leaning but has more spice in its presentation. It is a bit cold in the uppers with more forthrightness. Bass has a little more impact. Mids are little more forward. The Hexa is a little more detailed and resolving. The Hexa lacks naturalism in tone and timbre. Hexa is a bit source picky.

@@TheHonestAudiophilewow this answer is more than I was expecting. Guess for right now its a toss up between the T2 with what sounds like a better general flat sound and ease to drive or the design, detail and less natural eq of the hexas. Maybe in due time I'll get both, just have to figure out what first haha. Thanks for the incredibly detailed and eloquent answers. You have been very helpful and I'll make sure to keep following your videos!
