Peter, you're just so amazing. I look at all of your performances and I truly do look up to you. You seem to show your nicest sides to us, you grace us with your talent and all around you're just a wonderful person. I'm sure you won't see this but sometimes I like to think you will.

I just drove up the PCH with my girlfriend this past summer. We drove all the way up to Seattle. Being an east coast guy, I was taken back with how beautiful those cliffs were. I checked out a Sea Lion cave and camped out more often than not. Thanks for taking me back! Thanks for the music and quick guitar lesson!

I love just getting away into the woods for camping...its my all time favorite thing to do. It is a peaceful place to be where I can just relax without the worries of this world. Oh and I have driven along the West Coast for a couple of days, but in Oregon when I went to see my grandpa. Hes a pretty cool guy and the sights are just beautiful! Definitely a different scenery than Houston! :)

I actually have been playing guitar for the past few years. I know what hammer ons and pull offs are, but I had never really used them that way before. I noticed that you used a lot of hammer ons and pull offs in your nicepeter and friends song, and I thought that it sounded awesome! Thank you for sharing your musical tips with us! I hope to be a wonderful musician like you someday :D

Ben Kweller has been a favorite musician of mine since I found his EP in a little record shop in Paris, in 2004. He is AMAZING. Also, I just so happen to be headed into a remote cedar swamp/forest this weekend to get away from everything. I'm glad you had the opportunity to do the same!

You were actually doing both hammer-ons AND pull-offs there, NicePeter. The hammer-on is when you put your finger down quickly, and the pull-off, obviously is when you pull it off. The two tend to go hand-in-hand, and, as you said, can make any chord absolutely awesome when used properly.

Hammer-on and pull-off just refers to the fact that you don't always have to pluck/strum/pick a string to change notes; of course you can slide, but you essentially do the same thing by, say, plucking an open D and then just real quick putting you index on F (d3) and G (d5) without plucking those two notes; you can do that way faster than you can pluck. That said, what you were doing was just that but more specific, and I love it -- sounds VERY VERY COOL but is simple, and those are my fav techn

I took my motorcycle out for a head clearing ride. Only, I live in Missouri yet I rode that same highway. I did 4,815 miles in ten days. Rode that beautiful stretch from San Luis Obispo to SFC, crossed the Golden Gate bridge and went home. The nice thing about that kind of ride or drive is that as soon as you leave for the trip, you've already arrived. The trip itself is the destination. Keep up the good work. Dirk

Not a guitarist, but a musician with a few friends who play guitar. My understanding was a hammer on is when you pluck a string with one fret held down, then before the string stops wringing out, hold down another fret too. btw, the first fraction of a second of you demonstrating the sound of a didgeridoo actually sounded like a didgeridoo.
