Summary: I customized my car horn to play three different sounds. The main sound is the "Courtesy Honk" which is used to get the attention of other drivers in a non-emergency scenario. It's two quick chirps of the horn that is not only friendly sounding, but it's not as loud as a normal car horn.

In my younger days I owe him 1964, Volvo P 1800. The car was stylish and was a wonderful piece of machinery to own and drive. It came with an electric shift gear overdrive and perhaps the most brilliant aspect of this car design in the late 1950s was that it had a courtesy horn. Ever since that experience, I have wished every car has this feature. Do you have an absolutely male that is real, and would make the world a far better place Thank you for bringing this to the world attention through your platform, which has far more ability to convey messages to more people than I will ever have . I’m a bit surprised car companies have not picked up on this idea. Having a courtesy horn is a wonderful thing for people with modest, modest dispositions.

In Europe horns are used in necessary cases only! For other cases one or two short high beams switches are used and it works as well (if the driver infront of you is not literally sleeping :D )

My electric van has too. Automatically activated when under 30km/h. But it's kind of white noise, a low bubbling like an aquarium. Not bad as a reminder that something is approaching, but not much. The funny thing is, some cars DID used to have something like this- except it was a set of 'town' and 'country' horns instead. One for use in, well, towns, where everyone's fairly close together, and a louder one for use in more open areas where everyone's much further apart.

I don't know about the rest of Europe, but in Denmark it's only legal to use a "normal" horn

In most countries, it's only legal to use the horn as a safety warning (Eg. warning you're coming around a blind corner, or to prevent a collision), so "please move, the light is green" or "thanks" aren't legal uses of the horn, just as how cars aren't supposed to have random flashing lights. The intention of the law in the US also makes this type of horn illegal, but the law is poorly worded, so it's technically only illegal to use these horns on a highway.
