How are you doing with Fighting Games? What Fighting Game should I play next?

Getting way more used to +R recently. I'm getting way better at converting stuff and controlling space with justice's larger buttons which is actually quite enjoyable! I think I could definitely start working on getting pressure after 6H -> Nuke FRC because i can do basically whatever I want there and need to start trying to open people up rather than autopiloting another 6H.

I went to my first big regional tournament and played in my first offline Merfight bracket, taking second place with my usual Arctina (and losing to another regular). Also went 2-2 in the Sailor Moon bracket which all the commentators talked about being incredibly stacked, so that felt great. Making moves towards trying to get a Merfight weekly going but life is busy. Have you done anything with Schwarzerblitz? It's pretty notable as one of the few indie 3d fighting games. Also maybe I'll send you a Merfight script some day.

@@BaronWarthog I would fucking love to get a MerFight script. I made a few videos on it leading up to its release, but they were very surface-level so if you could give me something more in-depth, that'd be awesome. Haven't tried Schwarz yet but it is on my very long list of indie fighters to tap into.

Great video! Excited to see the BBBR one soon. Also can relate to having fun being an annoying spammy coward ahaha

Cheers! Really had fun recording the BBBR script so hopping into editing tomorrow's gonna be good.

The other EVOs having gimmicks reminded me of the infinity gems tournament Capcom did for MvCI Hearing you talk about your MvC2 team reminds me of what I ended up playing with as someone who isn't very good at MvC2 which is Anakaris, SonSon, Rogue but I don't think they have the best synergy, i just like how they play individually. Also talking about your found play style being annoying zoners makes me wonder if you'd like Annie in Duels of Fortune who was their best character for a while because she is a setplay zoner, she can fill up the screen so much and her stun grenade follows a weird bouncing arc and is aimable.

Anakaris/Sonson/Rogue is actually a really solid team. Anakaris/Sonson is a known duo for how Sonson's the best assist to set up Anakaris' infinite and Rogue kinda just works with any teammate from what I've seen. I think I tried Annie when I first got Duels Of Fortune. Never figured out the pacing of that game, but I should give it another shot.

@@GohLow I actually didn't know they worked well together at all because I mostly didn't use the anti air assist. And Duels of Fortune does have a weird tempo to it, mostly because of the way momentum works in it to me, otherwise you're stuck in place usually but cancelling moves from others that move you forward combined with reverse beat and being able to OTG like crazy means to me that it's a very wide open game.

My first thought when you brought up alternate formats was the various settings in the games, like a Street Fighter 6 tournament using one of the alt win conditions or hazards in the extreme battle mode. Haven't played in a while but the ARMS community felt pretty chill about doing tournaments with alt rulesets. But most older games aren't as flexible so the single elim and team ideas are more broadly applicable, I just want my dear stage hazards appreciated for once. In terms of length I support the video being whatever length it needs to be, don't pad things out just to hit a certain length but if you can meaningfully talk for an hour about the subject then go ahead.
@GohLow4 ай бұрын
The only real length I've ever tried to hit is 8 minutes since it triggers some more KZbin ad stuff. But I think I only did that on a few older videos, and my writing style normally clears that without even trying; I like to explain shit in detail lol

I do remember seeing a VF tournament alongside CoOp Cup last year now that you mention it. BeatDown Cup I think it was called.
