It's really exquisite and absolutely divine! Life is really worth living if we can hear it!:-) Every time I listen to Spanos's singing I can forget at least for a while about all the dirt and problems in this world. And I'd like to become like Oscar Wilde said...maybe not a better but a deeper person! At least his great unique art gives me joy and strength! Bravissimo! Long live our one and only Nicholas Spanos! I'm very grateful to him that I also expand my musical horizons with him.

Yana; I couldn't agree more!!!! I am just back from a humble concert one of our choirs gave on Saturday and out of the six people who came on my invitation, I particularly wd like to mention the couple who doesn't know much about music BUT is always very touched by the authenticity they feel when listening to this ensemble. If singers touch the soul with their art, THEN it's real. So, thank you for this gift and hopefully I'll be able to experience N. Spanos live one day!

Yes, I knew you'll appreciate this divine beauty and such an exquisite piece! I can't say which our one and only Nicholas Spanos's piece we've heard so far is the most exquisite one. Personally, his Dido's Lament or Handel's Tears takes my breath away just to name 2 of baroque, his belcanto "Non t'accostare all'urna", his "modern" song The true knowledge, actually everything, but this piece might be his most exquisite piece! Just very beautiful, sad but purifying and moving...I've missed you:-)

Dear Paul, you are my best friend and such a gentleman!:-) I just suggest for those Spanos's fans who already know well his repertoir at least on YT and can compare share with us what pieces and styles they prefer without "It's not one of my favourite pieces". We all have our preferences. I have my very favourite pieces even among Spanos's too and I mentioned some. Everybody could say what of SPANOS they prefer. But here he offered this baroque piece... Actually live he sounds even BETTER!:-)

Chere Sionie,if I understood you right it's a pity that you didn't hear Nicholas Spanos in Vienne and you don't know this amazing city?It's OK.I haven't heard him in Vienna yet either.But the main thing is that his voice is extraordinary!:-)And live he sounds even better than in all his recordings here.It's the magic of great art!I've heard him already twice -in Athens and Brussels. No matter where we hear him it's extraordinary!:-) I advise everybody to hear him live and judge for themselves:-)

Dear George, thank you too. Always my pleasure:-). Yes, Riccardo Broschi was Farinelli's brother whose name was Carlo Broschi :-) Have you seen "Farinelli, il Castrato" film? Of course, much of it is only Gerard Corbieu's fantasy to make it more "watchable" and "listenable" by more people to make it more popular and e.g. Farinelli couldn't sing Almirena's aria "Lascia ch'io pianga" as he sang Rinaldo but it was an interesting move to cry over his fate... but there's still something true there:-)
