I watched Joji as a kid and then as a late teen his music came out and really spoke to me. I remember all his joke songs and when he first started making music. I was really inspired to make my own music after hearing his old music, then he totally blew up after Slow dancing in the dark, everyone my age had heard of him even if they hadn’t watched Filthy Frank. Jamming his music in highschool then years later in the lockdown has made me really nostalgic for his music. I think Will He was one of the first songs I learned on ukulele. And again, he was one of my biggest influences to learn music production back in the day. He managed to do so much with such simple beats. It was a great foundational knowledge just listening to what he came up with, good beats with minimal change. Then he just became what he is now with songs like Sanctuary! I just hope he’s having the best life, not many people could excel in different fields and make a booming career off of them the way he did. From his videos to his music, I think he’s one of the few people who could really be successful at anything he tries his hand at. Such a groovy dude.

I knew pretty much all of this info but still enjoyed the vid. 1 thing though I think it's pretty safe to assume the Plummcorp videos are made and directed by Joji because of the style of them. People have said even the camera movements are reminiscent of old FF material. I feel like us as FF fans hoping Joji would return to comedy got their wish granted through 2024. And I can imagine Joji finding enjoyment in making those obscure videos without his name behind them, especially with the 2nd channel made after Dracula Flow blew up.

I remember seeing a video named something like "why is smithereens so bad?" talking about why all the tracks of smithereens except glimpse of us have been so unsuccessful. As far as i remember, it was speculated that he had to release a certain amount of tracks within a span of time, which then lead to him releasing unfinished or "bad" tracks to fulfill the contract with the label. It was also speculated that the could be trying to get out of that situation by creating his own label. Now after seeing that plummcorp exists as a label and everything else he could need, this theory makes a lot more sense to me. This could also explain why he has been absent for the last year, since creating a label and everything else around it probably isn't that easy. Couldn't find the video i'm talking about unfortunately, so i can't give any details

he is still doing tours/concerts. if you look up on youtube there are still performances. like JOJI in FULL CONCERT, DAY 2 @ HITC NEW YORK 2024 - SUN MAY 12 2024 and 241012 Joji - Slow Life Slow Live Full Ver. he seems to be in good health. for Joji health issues having epilepsy as long as he takes precautions and breaks he should mostly be fine. doctors gives you pills to lower the chances of it happening. my own Brother has his pills as long as he takes thos hes mostly fine. he probably just step away from social media to relax and not to stress given his condition its also why he probably likes to wear his sun glasses a lot.

Another thing to note is that - and this had been heavily documented a number of times already - doing tour shows take a huge toll both mentally and physically, and sometimes some singers doesn't even want to do it anymore despite the success, so in Joji's case, it wouldn't be a surprised if he's taking a full hiatus so he could reinvigorate his creative space and take care of his physical wellbeing as well.

He mentioned health issues before when he was retiring Filthy Frank, seemingly due to the pressure of leaving it behind and being scared of the response. Maybe he's got a lot of stressful things going on in his life and needs some time to work it out. I can admit it was pretty saddening that he only has credits for three songs on SMITHEREENS but those personally are my favorite songs so that gives me hope he still has that ability. Maybe he is just burnt out professionally and wants to make things he finds fun for a little bit before he hops back into Joji. I wish him the best... Great video btw! Also playing 3 shows and posting three instagram stories is totally different from dropping off the face of the earth. he's a private guy, everyone knows that. he's never announced when he's writing, recording or filming material so chances are he's just working on new material.
