My sister has primary immune deficiency (meaning no functioning immune system), and I had no idea Ironmouse suffers with that as well, and it makes me so angry to see people attacking this person for trying to live a happy life in a way within their more limited ability to function in a conventional way safely. This person is literally hurting nobody and getting attacked for it - these people attacking Ironmouse are genuinely vile it's beyond disgusting

The reason people hate on vtubers is because they hate that someone can not show their face and make greater money than a regular 9 to 5. That's about it. In their eyes being a vtuber is a "super easy" way to make money where they can be the perfect person for everyone regardless of how they look. Instead of doing it themselves, they want people doing it to feel bad.

They only see the biggest Vtuber, there's alot small Vtuber can't even compete. Again nothing is that easy though, the reason why Vtuber so popular and can be that Big is because they can express their emotion more and can become unhinged as much as they like. Compare to using their real face I'm sure they feel embarrased to showing their unhinged side to entertaint their viewers. Using real face that mean ruining your Real life Image, so you can express your real emotion there. There's some introvert person that can't show their face because feel shy, and then they become a Vtuber now and had chance to become a streamer.

The funny thing is almost every single Vtuber I can think of is proven to be a girl/guy etc Especially indie vtubers most of them show their face they just often wear a mask some don’t. One of the reasons for the hate is probably due to a lot of people only watch short clips of vtubers with cutesy voice and thinking that was cringe or something. Aside from the fact that not all big vtubers have that kind of voice, their conversation and entertaining skills tend to be as good as a typical big streamer. Also the fact, that some big vtubers managed to gain more viewers than a lot of normal streamers. The funny thing about this is that even the biggest vtuber agency now, Hololive, wasn't doing good early on. They persevered and eventually become what it is now. Meanwhile there are a ton of small vtubers & vtubers agencies out there struggling.

i think the difference is in the Cod days you would only be toxic in a lobby or two with randos and then people who are toxic almost never interact with you again while in todays day and age, doxxing and irl harassment are WAY more prevalent and i think continuous toxicity > short-term toxicity

Becoming Vtuber actually its great, separated your real life personality and your internet personality, so you can express your emotion more because using an avatar, and again you can live peacefully without people knowing you IRL and keep your image good IRL. Even some introvert person now had a chance to compete, when they normally feel shy on camera. Now they dont have to show their face and act as a character using Avatar. Its great compete. There reason why they can why Vtuber can become so popular even can compete with a big streamer that using their face, is because Vtuber they not feel shy to showing their true emotion and expressing their self more. And they can also act unhinged to entertaint their viewers, when you using your real face you will try to act cool, there's no way you act unhinged. Look Nicholast when he express his emotion more and act unhinged he get a lot of viewers right? Look at Speed, Kai they act unhinged they got alot of viewers. You will get less viewers if you trying to act cool, when you try to act cool you not entertain your viewers. So i can get it why they become so big and popular until the moment people hates it because they lose to them. Because viewers likes to watch someone who actually entertain them rather a person that try to act cool infront camera. 👌

As far as the false accusations thing, that falls under slander if spoken or libel if written. It's a civil cause of action however meaning you have to put up some money to persue it, and you have to prove damages which can sometimes be difficult translating reputation damage to monetary compensation

one little thing to mention only regarding to vtubing is that a lot of people can do it, even pros and something you can even see with Sonic, since they also got official VTuber models that they've been using for a while now both English and Japanese VAs can reprise their roles and maybe improv if they want with them and so many VAs are using Vtubers to also get closer to the community they are part of Vtubing is just fucking cool, man and the way you can be creative, is amazing and so many put so much work into their careers, that's something many don't even want to look at because anime = cringe i hate that so much and the fact more and more people are like this, is just so sad specially someone like mouse that has to endure so much with her condition, and she puts the effort to improve bet most of her haters might not have health issues but choose to do nothing much respect to mouse, always

For ironmouse I remember watching a video a long time ago about her voice, the reason why her voice sounds like that was because of an infection? (My memory isn't the best it's been months since I've seen it) And it messed with her voice to the point where she couldn't talk for a year and the result of the infection is her current voice. (If anyone can tell me if I'm right or wrong please tell me it's been a while) But she can kinda use her normal voice when she sings, only problem is it puts a toll on her throat so she can't hold it for long, but it is beautiful, and she's an amazing person, and vtubers don't deserve the hate they are getting, much love to all Vtubers 🩷🖤

I'd just like to note, many VTubers actually do use their real voice. But I can understand why someone would be put off by those who don't. It's an acquired taste for sure, and if you don't like VTubers - hate them, even - there's nothing wrong with that.
