I love how seriously they took the culling scene. Its satisfying to see the hunters get whats coming to them, but they are still humans, and Jinwoo is a murderer. There really was no other way out other than to kill to be killed. What an amazing scene they animated perfectly.

Hell yes they die, and those three times they tried to kill me warrants their death in return. This was not murder. Not in the true sense. This was justified/FORCED self defense and the defense of another Hunter. Jinwoo is not a murderer, he is a survivor and was a victim. He chose life and NOT to be victimized.

ichigo is far better tho he has development in not only strength but also his own ideology and who he thinks himself to be.Him not being able to accept himself is the whole point of is character development included the peak moment of "the blade is me" where he truly accepts all aspects of his being, manwha is generally trash at giving characters flaws,which is very important to any character in any show, is to give them flaws and make them either accept their flaws or remove them(which isn't possible for some aspects of a person) as they develop,it also gives them a sense of reality and a complex and deep narrative,there is a reason people like Guts sooo much and its not because hes "badass" or strong, well that too but mainly because hes a flawed person who doesn't know what he wants in life and has to overcome hurdles including simple things like trauma and ptsd.

The somber music in that last massacre was fucking PERFECT! It really reflects how Jinwoo isn't fighting the hunters, this isn't an action scene, he doesn't WANT to kill them, he's being forced by their actions and "The System" to kill them or he will simply die. He isn't playing with them, torturing them, or mocking them, he is simply reacting to their actions. Even for a character like Jinwoo, who has been taught again and again and again that in the world of hunters, power is absolute, it's all that matters, he struggles at first with killing his fellow man, if they hadn't been such murderous douche-canoes he could never have done it, though of course, if they were just normal hunters he never would have received that Urgent Quest. It's bloody incredible character work and only a TASTE of what is coming down the road, good GOD I love when a show is faithful to a well written novel, you can really feel how focused the story is on exploring the character of Jinwoo as he experiences these horrors.
