A lot of people who look rich because they buy a big, expensive, brand new house (they in all actuality can't afford or can barely afford), have blank walls, no furniture, etc...because they don't really have as much money as they want people to think they do....they spend all their money on cars, clothes, jewelry, going out to eat, etc., not anything that appreciates in value...I'm not just talking about Nick and Jessica, this is a lot of people...happens to a lot of people with "new" money.....

They weren’t even in the house enough to make it the way they really wanted...well Jessica was gone more for work since her career was really taking off, so obviously that played a factor I’m sure... plus they just got married, just got the house and started taping this show 3 months or so into their marriage. MTV came in there to set up all of the cameras etc...so consider the circumstances it’s not shocking that the house was like this

This is what two total strangers trapped in a marriage looks like. The tension and the resentment is so palpable between them it’s almost uncomfortable to watch now.
