For much the same reasons as most people I´m guessing. It´s a movie production, not a documentary, and it´s built up to make you feel like you´re on these men´s side as in good v evil, then there´s the drone-shots, the music, the "evidence", all the old clips ( which I now know are completely edited and out of context). Also, I just couldn´t believe how someone can possibly sit there and lie about this, as well as their families. I saw both episodes of the movie and then the Oprah interview, then some mainstream media interviews, I took an overdose of bullshit, and I thought omg he really did it! Then a day later I felt uneasy about it, just a gut-feeling. After watching Oprah with all those victims in the audience I felt so guilty when I typed the words Is Leaving Neverland a lie? It felt like something forbidden and shameful to question "victims" so I didn´t expect a lot of results, but people were way ahead of me, debunking it completely. It took me several days to finally admit to myself that yes, they are sitting there just lying about it all. That felt weird. A week later I found my mum watching it and when I told her it´s all a lie she almost sounded angry "How can you be so sure?" Like most people she wasn´t going to bother with fact-checking, because she doesn´t care enough about a dead man´s reputation. It was easier to just agree with everyone else and not go against the stream and risk being thought of as pedo defender. It was more comfortable to just heap all the crap on MJ, who was always a weirdo anyway, it fits the world-view. But well, I see now he´s not the weirdo here, not at all. Actually this stupid movie has made me appreciate him a lot! Anyway I told my mum the reasons it´s all a lie and she couldn´t argue, it´s all just too obvious

@@Imeducatedandblk you are behind the news dear there are many inconsistences in leaving Never land docudrama that have come to light Micheal Smallcombe obtained the permits for the building of the Never land train from the Santa Barbara County which shows permitted 2nd September 1993 and (actually being built in 1994) hence making James Safechuck's claim of the abuse starting in 1988- 1992 in the train at Never land impossible Dummy Greed (director of the only documentary in history that doesnt document anything) acknowledging James Safechuck had made a mistake in dates and Wade Robson's ex girl friend Brandi Jackson (Micheal Jackson's niece) disproving Wade's tales is just a tip of the ice burg. James Safechuck's claims of how Micheal "discarded" him when he was reaching puberty yet he is seen with Micheal Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley(Micheal Jackson's first wife whose marriage lasted only two years) at the age 16 holding an umbrella for them in Budarest on one of Micheal Jackson's historical tours there. Honey google it there is alot more inconsistences in the fraudmentary than you know. Say like how Joy Safechuck (James Safechuck's mum) claims she rejoiced at Micheal Jackson's death in 2009 yet she found out at her son's alledged molestation in 2013, how Wade Robson says the abuse started when he stayed home in Never land with Micheal Jackson as his mum and sister went to the grand canyon while his mum says they all went to the grand canyon and he claims he discovered the relationship he had with Micheal was wrong when he had become a dad then he says he changing his story because alot of reasons that dont even make sence how James Safechuck's mock wedding with Micheal is a similar tale to a narration in a book written in the 90's by Jordy Chandler(Micheal Jackson's first accuser in 1993), I could go on all day. Do the research dear there is a lot. If your a Micheal Jackson fan and you donno this then I honestly donno.

1rst accussers dad on tape saying "if I go through with this I win big time". The kid got legal emancipation from his parents a year after the settlement. He refused to testify against Michael in 05. 2nd accussers mom said on the stand their family was held captive at Neverland and we're thinking of excaping in a hot air balloon. Yet during the time they were supposedly captive she was proven to be out by herself getting cosmetic work done. New accussers Robson and Safechuck. Endless amount of holes but biggest to date are Robson and his family testified in 93 that they went on a trip to the Grand canyon together but in the documentary Wade says his family him left alone with Michael while they went on the trip. Safechuck says he was molested at a train station at Neverland during his "honey moon" period with Michael, and he stopped being abused around age 14. Yet the train station wasn't built til Safechuck was 16 and he was bigger than Michael at that age. So what happened to Michael liking prepubescent boys? The less we know about the accussers the better for them because if you tell a detailed lie about the most documented famous person of all time it will be found out. Blaming a victim is saying you deserved what you got because you wore those slutty clothes etc questioning and researching an accusser is way different and absolutely necessary. This isn't a crime that necessarily leaves physical evidence, it's a he-said , she-said , where character and credibility are most important. The burden of proof is on the accusser not the accussed. Innocent until proven guilty. What every single person who believes MJ did it has in common is they spend absolutely no time considering the other side of the story and don't question the accussers at all. As if a billionaire who was considered naive wouldn't be a huge target for extortion attempts.
