Teams scared of us now, Nick, they don’t want to help you move up and add even more talent to the roster you have stacked with dawgs and that’s a compliment in itself… You have done a great job, this secondary is about to be scary, the linebacker core is going to be a strength of the defense and that D-line is going to sure up everything! Defense is legit nasty and completely balanced from top to bottom for the first time in franchise history 🤘🏾👑🇨🇱💪🏾

I'm actually THRILLED that we were able to land a solid OT with such a high ceiling/low floor in the late second round. Fant was a huge part of this team in the backup tackle role last year and he is now gone. I get it it's not a sexy pick but keeping CJ upright is JOB NUMBER ONE. Look what happened when CJ didn't play those 2 games. We don't even want to think about such horrors again much less relive them. Blake Fisher has the tools to even possibly beat out Titus Howard next year or at the very least replace him if he goes down again this year. I know people love to talk up Titus but his play even at RT hasn't been that great. Good value/insurance pick that thankfully fell to us at 59.

Calen Bullock is an absolute ball hawk! This is something the Texans have been lacking for many years at the safety position OR corner position. He can high point the ball as well as some of the better WR1 in the league thanks to his great hands and timing for catching the ball are. That and he can cover in man pretty well, so the fact that they introduced him as a "defensive back" at the draft is kind of telling. He might be checked out at the CB2 spot, specially if Okudah or Henderson can't do the job in coverage as CB2. As a backup FS he will be totally fine to start with at the very least. After watching his highlights I was as excited as Demeco was because he's going to help the Texans swarm and turn the ball over with his good hands + vision/anticipation. I'm guessing he wasn't ranked in many top 50s because he wasn't strong enough to make every tackle, along with his teams defense being REALLY bad overall. Like last in CFB type of bad at making stops. He was one of the few bright spots for the Trojans on D the last 2 years. If he had played on a stacked SEC team, he would have been picked earlier in the draft.

It's funny when people talk about 40 times. Fastest ever officially recorded, 4.2......welp, Texans pass rush says you'll be lucky to get three. Need deep coverage? that's what the rangy FS is for. DeMeco is going to have a lot of roster flexibility to play with when he's scheming things up. I see the Texans being top 5 in both offense and defense this year. Historically, the kind of thing of thing that leads to deep playoff runs.

Here's my unbias assessment of our Free Agency and Draft Process. 1) Nick failed to sign any running back in Free Agency and lost our own starting RB in the process 2) Had to give up an unnecessary pick to get Joe Mixon - which was being released - because he couldn't land a RB. 3) Failed to understand Jonathan Greenard salary expectations during the tampering period. 4) Didn't do due diligence on Danielle Hunter. Found out last minute of Hunter's interest in the Texans. A good GM should know this. 5) Failed trade negotiations with Arik Armstead leading to unnecessary trade of Malik Collins. 6) Overpaid for Stefon Diggs.... Amari Cooper was traded for a 5th round pick. 7) Didn't have a proper Risk mitigation plan in place in case 1st round picks fall. Overall, the Texans have had a good off season but it's has been several instances of poor execution and decision making which have lead to giving up some additional pieces to have to cover it up.

I would have selected Edgerrin Cooper, Tyler Nubin, or Javon Bullard over Lassiter if it were my decision! Those three guys ranked at the top of their respective positions and all of them were available when it was the Texans’ turn to pick at 42! Lassiter is only the 7th best cornerback in this year’s draft even though he is pretty good. Over all though, he isn’t a good of a value pick as those three guys and I don’t think he is as good as them either. I am disappointed the Texans let a talent like Cooper go because I think he is one of the best players in this year’s draft! Lassiter is no where near the talent that Cooper is in my opinion.

Personally I would rather nick trade up every single pick I'd rather him trade up and get who he wants then settle for someone If I had to guess he wanted kool-Aid and he got taken 1 pick before us so he settled for Lassiter then I think they waited on Patrick Parker and he was taken out from under us so they settled for fisher and he decided he wasn't losing bullock so he traded up

I like they got value at OT and being 21 yrs works out. With the current tackles having injuries, penalties and poor run blocking this is a good add to develop quickly. Hopefully the rest of the board falls nicely to add some needs. A WR and LB would be nice if the value is there
