You have to remember that Nick Castellanos isn’t exactly the greatest slugger on the planet. He averages around 22 homers a year. I’m not a statistician, but while something “bad” tends to happen every day, the sheer number of times this happens when a major breaking news event happens (either in the real world or sports world) is probably quite close to a statistical anomaly. Obviously it’s not his fault, but it’s an amusing thing to consider as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos, and it will be a home run.

So after I got the news about Biden dropping out, I turned my attention away from the Phillies game I was watching to find out more. When I turned back to the game, there was Biden's face on the TV screen. News coverage? No, just an anti-Biden ad by Trump. (Time to update that one!) So we're between innings, and guess who is due to lead off the upcoming inning? That's right - Castellanos. But he only hit a double! But later in the game, with two outs in the 9th inning, he came up again, and there it was - a home run!
