Chubb was a beast as a freshman wish he would have never got injured I thank he would have broke hershel Walker's record
@GABuckeye373 ай бұрын
This is the greatest true freshman season we’ll ever see from a RB in a Power 5 conference. Todd Gurley started 6 games and had 911 yards but Chubb still finished with 1,547 yards on over 7 yards per carry and had well over 100 yards in every game he started. One of the few players ever who could have gone pro straight out of high school. Even with all the knee injuries he is still top 2 in NFL history for yards per carry in a career.

The running back position is evolving. It's become an under appreciated role in the "passing league" that is the NFL. These kids coming through the college system must be smart, they know they have to produce more as running back to stand out. They are pushing themselves hard, putting up ridiculous numbers in the gym and look at Nick Chubb breaking tackles and brushing off contact like he does, it's quite amazing. Before long having a running back like Marshawn Lynch will be the norm for NFL teams. Then it will be the turn of linebackers and safeties to evolve trying to stop all of these beastmodes :)

Oh crap guys Duke Johnson is coming jk Gurley fucking crushes him and Gordon is good but in big games he just doesn't prove to be. Cough* Big Ten Championship Cough* and against top 25 teams he averaged 20 yards for 40 carries?!?! thats just fucking sad. Gurley averaging the most yards per carry at 8.8 on the other hand is a fuckin beast and can't be compared to anyone in his class. Chubb is a star in the making. LOL you think hes overrated? Show me your evidence please because i'm pretty sure i just watched him run all over the number 3 rush defense in the country. Don't talk football unless you know what you're talking about. ok thx buddy.

Phenomenal freshman season by Nick Chubb. His numbers were enormous and hopefully he continues to improve. He may have fewer rushing yards than last year but more receiving yards/TDs. I just don't want the expectations to be TOO high for him going into the 2015 season. He blew up last year and people will expect the same production in his second season. If he doesn't produce up to the same level, people criticize him. That's something I would hate to see. Staying healthy is key.

I however disagree with what you said about how Chubb as a freshmen was better than Gurley. Gurley on his freshmen year was probably the best ball he has ever played in his Georgia career. However, I agree that Chubb with have a better future than Gurley but you have to think about this. Gurley was injured his sophomore year and then his junior year there was that scandal with the autographs and he missed half his season. If Gurley stayed his entire junior year he more than likely would have won the heisman trophy. But other than that, you make some very good points, but Gurley as a freshmen was better than Chubb his first year.
@christinagiles2939 жыл бұрын
fingersonfire4gh The stats don't say that. Chubb's freshman stats are higher than Gurley's. And Chubb only started 8 games last year. If he started all year, he might have won the Heisman

@nathanmcdonald15729 жыл бұрын
Glad we have this guy the next few years. I don't think he's better than Gurley just because Gurley could make big gains out of absolutely nothing and leave you scratching your head about it. But Chubb is a monster and is a worthy successor to TG3.
@24Kobe4MVP19 жыл бұрын
Chubb is better than Gurley not because he is more talented, but because of 3 things: 1.) He doesn't get in as much trouble and is actually somewhat shy/very humble 2.) injuries as Todd had a history of injury problems while at uga 3.) and finally Chubb's endurance is far superior to Gurley's. The kid can carry the ball nearly 40 times and still run the same way he ran on his first carry it's insane. You could really tell when Todd was tired once he got to that 20 carry mark or so

@Tater7939 жыл бұрын
if chubb had played the whole year he would have very easily run for 2,300 yards as a freshman shattering Hershel Walkers freshman rushing record. There were 5 games where chubb either didnt play or had limited snaps. Chubb put the team on his back and ran with it full speed.

Was on an Ezekiel Elliot highlight reel and people kept commenting on Nick Chubb. Clearly, I'm going to prefer Zeke over Chubb, but Georgia has a bright future with athletes like him. Georgia has always been an SEC team with fans that have respect unlike Auburn and Bama fans. Hopefully, the Buckeyes will meet the Bulldogs next playoff.

Literally Broke my heart watching Gurley tear his acl last year, but this kid is special. While Gurley was a beast, this kid is the closest we will ever have to another Herschel. Not to dwell on the past, but let's face it, Herschel was debatably the greatest player in NCAA history and Chubb is a spitting image of him and his work ethic. Humble, hard working, monster on the field. I get chills watching him run. The play where he got his helmet ripped off and kept trying to run, I coulda swore it was Herschel walker under that helmet. Regardless, this kid has what it takes on and off the field to be one of the greatest!

Chubb runs with authority and has good acceleration. BUT, Zeke is the best back without the ball that I've ever seen, and that means a lot actually. Blocking, Carrying out fakes, catching the ball out of the backfield, everything mental... truly amazing... unbelievable character guy with an unbelievable work ethic. Clearly the best two backs coming into the season, but glad to have Zeke on 'my' tm.

I've read the some of the comments and the comparison between gurley and chubb. And you can say one has more vision than the other and chubb can jump cut and gurley and catch and gurley is faster and all that but when he it boils down to it they are both what we like to call ball players. You can put sprinkles on top of it if you want to but it's the same thing. They are both some freaks that can GATA. GO DAWGS

I bet chubb is going to be a college legend and rack up 2300 yards rushing in 2015 and be as a hesmian candidate I mean he racked up 1547 in 8 games and he missed 5 games at the begging of the year if he would of played the first five games of the season he would probably have over 2000 yards rushing because if you do the math he averages 178 yards per game if you do the math he could of gotten at the most 2400 yards rushing or he could of had a 200 yard game at the begging of the year and could possibily break barry sanders record he is the most talented runningback freshman I have ever saw
