je ne trouve pas ce magnetisme musical chez les autres artistes;il n'ya que nick drake qui a cette force musicale captivante dans la chanson.
@gillesserrigny63244 жыл бұрын
Je suis un modeste guitariste, je me suis attaqué à ses chansons. Avec ses paroles sous les yeux, sa musique et ses mots ne font qu'un. Ce garçon était aussi un grand poète dans la lignée des poètes britanniques du 19ème siècle.

Yes, it is magnetic.. his expression is so unique, the way he plays emotions, it IS inside Nick, we listen to: anger, beauty, sadness....he hums and holds notes in certain ways..He is one of, if not thee, most beautiful male acoustic singer ever ❤️ ❤️ ❤❤

The version of "River Man" from the same bootleg this comes from is pretty neat as well. It's the released take but with no fade out, all the way to the end. It also has a different and (thankfully) discarded Danny Thompson bass overdub.
@shrimpu Жыл бұрын
Where can on find this bootleg? Is it included in any of the regular releases? Thanks
@timj94184 жыл бұрын
This is a powerful version. Is this considered a bootleg or was it released officially at some point? In any case, it's a radical rendition of the song in some ways. I don't think I've ever heard Nick Drake slam his guitar strings as he does at times in this, or do some things vocally that he does here. He's even intentionally discordant at certain points in the song, making this almost aggressive or angry as an undercurrent to the song's more steady melodic quality. The way he stretches or extends the note with a word at times, or hums and moans as he does at other times--those are vocal gestures I don't recall him making like that in any other songs he recorded.
@fastidioussloth6013 Жыл бұрын
The second sentence here deserves a reply. I tend to prefer these less produced performances with just one man and guitar, although its good to have different versions, raw to over-produced.

I shared a flat with Nick and Kelly in Hampstead late '71. Kelly's friend Angelique quietly had a bit of a thing for Nick and was a regular visitor for a while. She was a photography student at the Hampstead Fine Arts College and she never went ANYWHERE without her 8mm Camera. (including once famously to the toilet which was hilarious - all in the name of art!!) I'm flabbergasted people always say there's never any footage of Nick - Angelique must have tons - she was quite infatuated and pretty mischievous with that damned 8mm. I bet there's heaps in the College archives too - most student assignments were held by the faculty unless special dispensation was sought. I've found a grainy clip of Nick at breakfast, which was a rarity in itself: kzbin.infoTi-Ne0mDUGo

@PeterOzanne2 ай бұрын
No, this is clearly Nick's voice - ask any Nick Drake obsessive. The only thing is the recording quality: the distortion changes his voice slightly, but the phrasing, the accent, and the guitar are all unmistakable. I can't see what made you think that 🙂
