I am a catholic and i am against children being taught about LGBTQ at school !! I say live and let live but school is school not a puppet show !! A family has the right to say no to these teachings !! As a parent i am against these teachings, my faith teaches it to be wrong and my child is of the same faith !! I feel therefore that my child should not be allowed to listened to these teachings on religious grounds and out of parental choice !! Or is it you believe parents have no rights now to the up bringing of their child ???? and society has the rights over the child not the parents ?????I teach my child to love and accept all and not to judge and to forgive and be generous when they can be and to help when they can and not ask for any thanks !! I say to them everyone has their life to live and their own choices and paths to live !! but what i will not accept is that my child is allowed and forced to listen to the actions of others against the wishes of the parents and their religion !! I am not for LGBTQ people but i am not against them either !! I believe they have their rights to say and do as they so wish but that has to be give to all not just them. Parents should and must be given the right to allow or take their children out of any class that teaches LGBTQ if they so wish !!

@Jack Newton there's a massive difference between teaching about a couple of major religions which have had major impacts on a global scale in different ways since the dawn of man and promoting hysteria in the form teaching children that they can be any gender they want. let's see how you feel when your daughter gets gender reassignment because her teachers told her it's natural and okay and she ends up comitting suicide like the majority of them. Gender disphoria is very dangerous and should not be encouraged or normalized in immature brains which are subject to development, the topic should only be discussed in my eyes like depression or other mental disorders, do you want your kids to be taught it's fine to be depressed? or taught how to deal with it.

The central question here is whether the school should be allowed to push a progressive left wing LGBTQI+ agenda on children, while the parents do not consent to this. In a free country, the school should listen to the concerns of parents. The school is not doing this, and this is the result. These parents are angry and rightly so. I am an immigrant and when I decided to make UK my home I have also decided and swore when I have received my citizenship to respect and abide by the UK’s laws. First, youd have to justify your reason for being against it. Debate it, study it, and form an educated opinion on what's wrong with it. I'm going to make an assumption that the reason is because an imaginary person told someone hundreds of years ago it was bad and a culture still believes it. ie, no valid reason, just prejudice and ignorance.

I'm not Muslim and I don't live in Birmingham but I think Nick's bias is so obvious in this interview its unprofessional at best. Children should be allowed to go through puberty before LGBT is taught, this all stems from liberalism and political correctness getting ridiculous in this country. If parents don't want their children being taught certain things they should at least have the right to express their opinion. And as for Nicks definition of a peaceful protest, of course you can be peaceful and use a loud speaker, it's when violence is used it's not peaceful.

Children should be educated in our schools. In an English speaking country many children leave school and cannot read or write English language, it's a shame. How will they compete with their counterparts from other countries on other subjects. The Judge got it wrong, Parents should decide when it's appropriate to teach their children sexed. Their protest was very peaceful, there was no disorderly or unruly behaviour. What would you call the climate change protest and anti-brexit protests? When they literally stopped people's lives shutdown an entire city causing more pollution, many of them arrested. That is was traumatic and an example of Non-peaceful protest.
