Theres absolutely no denying Mr. Govans skills, he's got some sick grooves. Definitely one of, if not the best guitar player, but Nick speaks so much more to me. Especially in this last album. Different folks, different strokes, its all good either way
@pranavphx7 жыл бұрын
Even if he never played guitar, the compositions and song structure is outwardly. We haven't heard such profound music for a long long time. Breathtaking. You don't need to be able to follow all the notes to love this. This is almost like the best pop album ever the melodies are that strong

brothercartman ,true.. Music has changed a lot. Nick has got something more than others.

yes he does have great feel, try David Maxim Micic "who bit the moon" a bit more electronic but he has a great feel as well for a modern player

To those who might not know, Nick can easily shred like Tosin Abasi or Jason Richardson. But the level of restraint you hear on this piece and throughout his music in order to serve the melody makes him IMO one of the greatest guitar players. It's astonishing.
@R3aperCr3W4 жыл бұрын
I actually hate shredder or whose the fastest guitar licks those players dont have souls to it they just wanna be whose the loudest and the fastest ???
@monkas39684 жыл бұрын
Tosin Abasi absolutely should absolutely not be in the "shredder" category. That's such disrespect to him and the amount of creativity he has brought to the game.
@azathoz4 жыл бұрын
Shredding is another resource when playing guitar and composing. Well used can be amazing. Overused or wrongly used can ruin a song. Those who hate it because "it has no soul" (really? Gowan, Vai, Satriani, Gilbert or Moore among many other have no soul then?) or consider it offensive should then stick to blues, jazz, pop or whatever the hell they usually listen to.
@DeathBringer7694 жыл бұрын
@@monkas3968 One of his old screen names had something like "ShredGod" in it though at one point, to be fair, lol. Just because you can "shred" doesn't mean you don't have melody or creativity. I hate when people only use the word in that sense. Tosin can definitely shred melodically.
@connormartin16184 жыл бұрын
One of the best things about Nick. Knows when to shred and when to hang back. Does both perfectly
@PyroShredder9822 жыл бұрын
How can you hate this. It’s melodic. Has plenty of technique for all the shred fans out there. It’s progressive, yet touches your soul. “remarkably human” really is the perfect title.

Defining the musicality of Nick Johnston is like thinking of an abstract work of art. His music gently walks the world of new age, jazz fusion and the most innovative sound proofing today. Nick in this magnificent work synthesizes an avalanche of feelings and senses aimed at a new insight that makes the listener reflect and disconnect from a world so empty and devoid of beauty, so dear reader close your eyes and let Nick Johnston's music search the More beautiful places of his musical soul, for music is life and it seems to me that our friend Nick Johnston understands this very well. Congratulations Nick Johnston from Sao Paulo Brazil.
