I'm so obsessed with Nick and June that I felt the need to make a long video with almost (if not) all their scenes from season 1. I know some of the effects are messed up but it took me 20 hours to render it, so I won't be able to fix it, I'm sorry. Anyway, hope you like it.

His acting in THT is so underrated. That restraint. It's the kind of acting Heath Ledger did for Brokeback Mountain. Minimal, not opening his mouth too much depicting how much the character is concealing and holding in so they can't be seen for who they are.

I loved not knowing who nick was and the tension when she went outside and scared for DAYS after he just saw her outside. Poor handmaids. Seriously. Poor June with all that torture. I hope they end up together.

I knew from the moment they were bantering it would be them and Nick would be that One Ally for June in Gilead. That ice scene Nick sighing by the door holding it in was so cute. Also that scene Nick told his name and where he is from to June. Light shines through the background and Nick's face is illuminated, quite a metaphor. And everytime he's with June light they're basked in light and Nick seemingly steps out of the shadow when with her. That scene being interrogated by the Eye, didn't notice it before but seemed like Nick called on Serena to stop them from torturing June further.

I think their relationship is meant to be like that. She has lost control with everything else in her life and Nick allows her to take control. Be a man in the relationship. Remember when she asked to be on top when they were... 😉. There is a time when she got rough as well and he let her. He understands. He knows she loves him. That is my take anyway.
