The sizzle between these two. I understand that, in those days...especially given the tensions between Israel and Egypt at the time...their real life romance was quite the scandal.

That's right, during her Central Park concert there were a lot of securities because the Egyptian's were against Omar and Barbra's movie.

Absolutely LOVED Streisand and Sharif together!! I wish they had made more films. They had a legendary chemistry. What a great film this was, and fabulous vocals by Barbra. UNFORGETTABLE FOREVER ❤️❤️

Love Omar Shariff, so exotic, dashing, debonair and handsome. One of my fave screen actors, his brown eyes have an extraordinary sparkle to them no matter what the expression or scene in Funny Girl. This kiss is so romantic, tender, passionate and sweet. One of my faves ever. And the sunset, what a setting. 😍🥰😘

Barbra is a devout Jewish lady, do we think she actually consumed lobster/shell-fish on set?!
@barbraevergreen2 жыл бұрын
She loves lobsters. She sings Christmas songs too. No one could stop her from doing things she likes. Don't rain on her parade. ❤️
@lc17152 жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard her claim she’s particularly devout, and certainly not kosher.
@teslagirl12 жыл бұрын
I did a lot of banquet work in my school years...and lots of seemingly devout Jewish ladies liked lobster. Shrimp, too...though it was just as bad. I have seen both served at a Jewish country club...which fortunately had a separate kitchen for the non kosher stuff which they did sometimes serve. Of course the VERY orthodox didn't usually go to the club, having most of their own banquets, weddings, Israel bond dinners, etc. in the banquet facilities that were part of their temple.

Fanny and Barbra are not Orthodox Jews. Orthodox Jews keep strictly kosher and dress modestly and have conservative viewpoints and not liberals.
