One downside of this show was that we didn’t see much of Nick Knack after season 2 but if we did maybe he could have started going by Toyman in another appearance. I think it could have been a good origin for him. Plus Gilbert Gottfried was phenomenal in his role here.

I bet a lot. Reminds me of robin Williams Improving as the genie in Aladdin, where Gilbert played Iago amazingly. I thought that was just a voice he created for Iago but I was wrong. He’s one of those people who was born to play animated characters.

Gilbert Gottfried had an annoying voice and he knew it but he didn't care that was his bread and butter and it worked for him he really cracked me up when he was the voice of Myxptlk on STAS If I had an annoying voice that would make me a success I wouldn't care how annoying my voice was I must admit his voice reallt cracked me up.

I remember this horrible show. I also seem to recall Toyma--I mean, Nick Knack--sadistically killing his assistant Daisy. It was pretty disturbing to me as a kid, bc she seems kind of not-all-there.

@@dtyodeller Seasons one and two were absolutely terrible ... 3 and 4? Superb. They changed everything from the cinematography to the storytelling. It got a lot more mature all of a sudden. They brought in comics writers and the star - a superman fan himself - got involved, too. It's definitely worth getting on DVD. First season feels like a Melrose Place 90210 type Superboy - real cheap. Season two got more adventurous, but three and four are the good stuff.
