I genuinely believe Oh Hello helped repopularize Steely Dan, maybe next to the renaissance of “yacht rock” the last decade or so but their fandom made me love them again

Listening to O&A for years, I always just assumed Sam was a 19 year old intern who had snuck his way into more and more responsibility til he was indispensable. Not sure I was wrong.
@4Legacy5 жыл бұрын
I think you're definitely not wrong. He did earn his way, but he also kept himself set up, waiting for the O&A bomb to go off, knowing he would most likely end up in a better position. I don't know if he expected to be in Opie's chair someday. But his position is way more about strategy than it ever was about listener demand. What we all really wanted was Jim @ Ant

First of all, I get people have differing opinions. I really do. But some of the comments here are just unbelievable! I'm truly confused how someone could a) really not understand that they are joking around in the beginning and b) not think these two are fucking hilarious. I just kind of started watching clips of there show and interviews with them today and it's some of the smartest humor I've seen in a long time. Really made me laugh. I can only draw the conclusion that too many people are fucking boring and uptight, and thus unprepared to do the extra thinking to appreciate the humor these two bring. It's non stop and that must just baffle you and piss you off even more. And it's all off the top of the head, so this must really bring out the hate. Read a little. Live a little. Maybe focus a little more on bringing a woman to orgasm instead of just busting that quick nut to get through it. Humor and joy can be applied to damn near everything in life. These guys can see that. You can all get there too. Secondly, that baby scream Nick Kroll does? Fuck, that almost made me piss my pants!

I love comedy, and 100% agree laughter has gotten me through life. I'm a big fan of Mulaney, kroll, and Norton just to name the stand ups in the video. That being said, im certain that was a genuine response from Mulaney. His tone, facial expression, (and that of Kroll) his stutter when trying to formulate a response.. Anyways... may the laughter never die!

jafrocubic2 they are definitely my favorite comedic duo right now. Everything they do is amazing. Big Mouth and Oh, Hello especially. Even their interviews are hilarious.

Dale S clearly it’s sarcasm as he says immediately after “now let’s get back to pretending we like each other”. The thing about mulaney is he can have a very dry sense of humor and delivery so a lot of ppl assume he’s always serious.

Lemme just say, Mulaney's face was stone cold taking that jab from Kroll. I think his comment afterwards was a genuine reaction. Kroll has a sort of passive aggressive tone & a hollow congeniality. I would just about guarantee Mulaney had more to say when they weren't in mixed company.

you would have to be an actual fan to get their humor. and that’s just nicks voice that sounds passive aggressive. they have been best friends for 20+ years and they fit together perfectly, that’s just the way they act together. i think their hilarious and this comment made no sense to me :/
@erikmcconnon21555 жыл бұрын
@@ashleycarmella1471 exactly. If you watch their other interviews they do this gag all the time. Nick says something offhanded sarcastic and John fake chews him out. The reason it was so awkward here is because Jim and Sam didn't get that it was a joke and got uncomfortable
