There is this obscene narrative of how tennis players should act and behave, like some sorts of standardized tested robots. By all means Nick is far from perfect, and has had his fair share of moments, but A LOT of his actions are magnified to seem much worse than they actually appear. He's outspoken which truthfully makes people uncomfortable in their pretentious lives. Dude is immensely talented, and with the right mindset, can definitely be a top 5 player in the game.
