If you search "Nick Lachey's Wedding Moments" vid, it contrasts short clips from his wedding to Jessica and to Vanessa, and you can really see how he was very attracted and connected to Jessica both emotionally and physically. People say that what he feels for Vanessa is more "mature," but I think he's simply content with the safeness of their relationship and is willing to accept it.

26crustacean I disagree with you Manillo wasn’t instrumental in their break but I do agree she was waiting in the wings to get her hooks into him when the shit hit the fan because she knew it wasn’t going to work out between The Lachey’s because between both Jessica’s parents (especially her Dad) inter fearing in their marriage and Jess and Nicks reality show it was a recipe for disaster waiting to happen and she took her opportunity to be the rebound and it paid off but we all know two important things she’s got Jess’s leftovers (she picked up the scraps real quick) and Nick will always love Jessica and Vanessa knows both those things but doesn’t feel guilty she got his millions and her sudden fame because of his name and 3 kids to keep him for now!

They are so night and day different than each other.. so I don't see it that way. I LOVED the Jessica Nick married from the reality show they did together. But Jessica CHANGED big time. I feel like once she had sex for the first time was the turning point in their marriage.. Then with all the notoriety from there show.. Jessica became a sex symbol and loved all the attn from the opposite sex. She went boy crazy! Esp after playing Daisy Duke.. that's when she had an emotional affair with her co-star Johnny Knoxville She did Nick so dirty. That's why I do not Respect her anymore. It seems to me that Nick likes Vanessa for her stable personality since he really needed someone more like a "wife" by his side, but I don't think his body language shows as strong of a connection as he had felt for Jessica.
