Years ago now a friend said he watching TV and some old guy was playing Nick Lowe's tunes. Eventually he realized it was Nick Lowe. This was before we became old ourselves. I thought it was funny and poignant. Nick is a great songwriter and musician.

Nick is a really underrated gem, who we should cherish while he’s still around, rather than after he’s gone. Despite his music having a heavy USA influence, I always detect a distinct ‘Englishness’ in his work, which makes it unique.
