oo ABOUT NICK MASON AND THE SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS oo
Nick Mason, Gary Kemp, Guy Pratt, Lee Harris and Dom Beken, aka Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets, came together with the simple idea of playing some early Pink Floyd - the songs pre ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ - that had not been given a live outing for decades! This was the first time Nick had played live since Live 8 in 2005! “Why don’t we get a rehearsal room and play some things and see how we feel about it?” Nick suggested...
A few months later, on Sunday 20 May 2018, Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets took Pink Floyd’s drummer back to the clubs for the first time since 1967 - Dingwalls in Camden, London. The performance was met with huge adulation across the board**.
Three nights at the Half Moon in Putney followed that same week before announcing a theatre tour through the UK, North America and Europe from September, and they promptly sold out! A handful of extra UK shows were announced for April and May 2019, including two nights at The Roundhouse - the venue where Pink Floyd first played on 15 October 1966, at the International Times launch party.

It’s been 2 years now and I hope and pray that you’ve learned to replace the pain and feelings of loss with thankful memories of all the wonderful times you were blessed with, being able to spend with your dad when he was alive. I saw this tour in Vancouver and I have to say that I enjoyed this more than anything Roger or Dave have done recently. Don't get me wrong because Roger in particular knows how to put on a spectacle that I can sink my teeth into. But hearing Floyd tunes that I never imagined that I would hear being played live and being played so well, is just incredible. So a very BIG thank you to Nick for making this happen.

I very much agree! That's also why I like to go some of the tribute bands, to hear some of the stuff live that I've only heard on (bad) tape recordings, bootlegs or the (endless river of) recent year's boxsets. Both Gilmour and Waters too rarely venture off in this direction, live. They are mostly focussing on new material and main stays, I feel. And who can blame them!? Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets fills a gap perfectly!

Tutto dal vivo, bellissimo. Poi ho anche The Wall dal vivo ripreso da qualcuno al concerto, si sentono anche le voci delle persone che aveva a fianco come registrava. Ma questo che ho io l'ho trovato molto tempo prima che uscisse quello ufficiale con le 4 maschere. Una cosa che non sono riuscito a trovare e un dvd con i concerti di The Wall prima che si separassero. L' ho trovato solo su you tub ma a me interessava averlo in DVD. Mi sembra che non hanno datto ancora l'autorizzazione pe metterlo in vendita, peccato.
