Nick Reinhart's First Pedal: The DOD DFX9 Digital Delay | Reverb Interview

Nick Reinhart, of Tera Melos and Pedals & Effects, came by the Reverb office to goof off with a few pedals from his youth. First Nick shows us how he used the DOD DFX9 to create "Melody 3" from Tera Melos' record 'Untitled'. Next, Nick shows us the Boss PH-2 Super Phaser, another of his first pedals. Lastly, Nick throws them all together with an EarthQuaker Devices Hoof Fuzz and brings the past into the present.

I toured with and still have a DOD DFX9 I got back late 80s,early 90s iirc. Cannot kill it. Still use it although I have much more "modern" delays some costing more than my 1st car. Still it's low fi shadow type sound I use to thicken the sound I prefer much more than the new tech. Tempting.

Dude I remember watching Tera Melos just before they released 40 rods and Vince was their drummer. It was this birthday arcade called nickel city and it was literally the first local show I had ever been to. Still my favorite band
