I believe in the transfer portal rules, although there are legitimate concerns. If you're not appreciated or invested in, you have the ability to leave to (perhaps) a better situation. Do you really think he was the only getting good talent? And paying players???? Wake up have you seen Georgias recruiting class for the last 6 years????

@@Themikelawry Alabama has finished ahead of Georgia in four out of the last six recruiting cycles including a few number one classes. Next, the SEC is the dirtiest conference in football as it pertains to paying players out of the table. Just go look at how many Hellcats Alabama players owned in the last 10 years and you'll see it's damn near every scholarship player. Difference is now, the rest of the country can match what the SEC has been doing for the last two decades. Not some grand conspiracy theory, it's been well documented as the biggest open secret in football. Keyshawn Johnson just made a joke about it last week directly saying exact what I'm saying now. As we say in the south, for a lot less fun if the rabbit has a gun.

@@dkny2980 who else is matching the sec in in Deals that couldn’t before ??? All this did was make sec teams richer …. It’s crazy you guys don’t understand that … You think the university of Oklahoma is out bidding a sec team now since it’s “even” now ????
@dkny298010 ай бұрын
@@Themikelawry I don't think you understand how much more football means to the South than it does to anywhere else in the country. And it absolutely means less to those on the coasts. It is factual that the SEC has the wealthiest and biggest spending boosters in the country. Texas a&m boasting the most. There's a reason Ohio State just the guy from Texas a&m to run their NIL program. It is also much easier to get into any SEC school beside Vanderbilt then it is any school in the Big ten and what used to be the pac-12. It is not my opinion that the SEC was paying players but a verifiable fact that Alabama was paying their five-star recruits tens of thousands of dollars to play. Meanwhile at Ohio State, players were having to sell their gold pants that they receive from beating Michigan just to pay for food. Prestigious universities with rich academic histories Don't tie themselves to football nearly as much as the SEC schools with the exception of maybe Ohio State. If you don't know about Alabama paying their recruits, it's because you don't want to know not because it's untrue. A quick Google search will yield countless articles, photographs and testimonies from players.

You’re on drugs if you think bama is the only program that was paying players. It’s gone back since at least the 70s.

I can see now why Keyshawn was a bust as a #1 overall pick, he’s lazy and wants things given to him for not doing squat,and once he gets that payday he mentally checks out. His whole career was simply him going thru the motions, he’s Uber talented so he got away with it

@DougalsBrooks10 ай бұрын
I concur with you completely. Nick Saban left college football because of the NILand the portal. He was overwhelmed by the Big Ten’s talent and the state of Michigan ran him off to the subpar SEC division And the University of Michigan pushed him into retirement, because he could deal with the superior athletes in the Big Ten like Michigan special teams did not implode, they would’ve beaten Alabama by three touchdowns. Just like Michigan did to 2Washington. as much as I hate Ohio State, if they can beat Michigan, and that’s gonna be hard to do, they will win a national championship.

It’s just a matter of control now the players have the power, and Nick doesn’t like that too bad landscape has changed whether you like it or not what he’s basically saying is in a way it’s become semi professional football but it’s always been that only differences now the players, the ones taking the risk on the field have the power and there’s nothing wrong with that. The players, not being financially compensated, was unethical. I get both sides to the argument, but the players not getting financially compensated was unethical

This contract talk will go smoothly until teams realize what players will want in there to sign. You will have guys wanting guaranteed playing time, you will have people wanting full benefits, higher pay if they are having to commit to multiple years, to protect against their own rising value. If I’m a player, being told I have to lock into 2-3yrs, I’m saying I want playing time assurances, in writing, or I’m not signing. Why get locked into a deal that could destroy your ability to develop and play in the NFL if a coach suddenly likes another guy?
