I try and enjoy this man as much as possible. His contract extension is up on February 2030! Whether he can complete that contract is still yet to be determined. He would be 79 years old, so there are no guarantees. I'm treating him as year-to-year from here on out! Whenever his tenor does come to an end, it will be the end to one of the greatest coaching stretches in any sport; comparable to John Wooden's reign at UCLA. What he's done this year is beyond amazing! When you consider where Alabama was after the USF game, to where they are now- simply astonishing! If he and this Alabama team close this playoff run out with his 7th title at Alabama, and 8th overall, it will probably go down as his most impressive and maybe most memorable national title- at least for me!

What the committee should’ve done for this year, and this year only… is expand it to six teams. They could’ve given Michigan and Washington a first round bye. Texas could’ve played UGA and Bama could’ve played FSU. The winners would face Michigan and Washington respectively and the losers play each other to determine 5th and 6th place.

@raideryka That's what LSU said in the beginning of the year, before FSU was beating them 45-17 and LSU's offense never scored as low as that game for the rest of the entire season, including against Alabama at Tuscaloosa. And that game was on a neutral site. So that's some evidence that your take on the outcome of the game is flawed.
