NICK SINGLETON - Sophomore Highlights (2023)

Nick Singleton continued to split carries and playing time with classmate Kaytron Allen in his sophomore season at Penn State. And while the breakaway type runner didn't have the season many thought he might, Singleton still produced on the field in a very valuable way. His strength, persistence and ability as a pass catcher proved to be more of the needed abilities for the Lions as the offensive unit as a whole struggled to get him into open field to take advantage of his homerun capabilities. Nonetheless, 2023 was a good year for him.

He really came on late in the season (MSU + Bowl game). Not going to criticize for no big plays against OSU MICH or Iowa since those Defenses were great, just felt like in the process of bulking up muscle wise he lost his afterburners. I think in 24' his body will be more evened out, balancing his new power with the speed we know he has. Poised for his best year yet imo.

I agree. The kid still has tons of ability. I just think last year was sophomore slump.

Compared to his 2022 season he was a bust in my opinion.

A lack of offensive identity this past year and him splitting carries makes it where he seemed much worse, but as a player he has everything available to be a great college and nfl running back. Imo he needs to take majority of the carries this year because of his upside with speed and power. Hopefully he has a better year
