I think art is very subjective. Matteos portrait captured how Nick would look in a 10min painting, more realism. Nicks portrait captures Matteos fun and unique character. I think you both did amazing for different reasons! ❤

I could instantly see/recognise Matteo in Nick's portrait. While Matteo's had perhaps more artistic flair, I wouldn't have instantly recognised it as Nick.

As someone with BFA in drawing, I would love to see more of Matteo's drawings. He doesn't draw with paint, which is something a lot of us drawers do. I'm so impressed. Also love Nick's interpretation of Matteo, especially the hair. I totally see him in it. Bravo.

I used to be an art teacher, and I have to say I loved both paintings. Matteo, you are really talented in a classic way. I loved the primitive nature that Nick paints with as well. It's a much better painting than I expected it to be with all of Nick's shade. Both of my kids said they always had art materials that everyone else envied. One got all of the crafting skills (she can DIY like a champ) and the other kid got the classic art skills like drawing, painting, and sculpting.

I love the sense of gesture in Matteo's portrait; it's giving J.C. Leyendecker, but comes across a little stiff on screen and doesn't quite capture Nick's impish character. Nick's portrait looks like teenage fan art for a boyband, but exudes more character.

Honestly, Nick's level of delulu is villain level iconic. Like if Ivan Ooze had a lovechild with Megamind, that would be Nick. As far as the paintings go... well, pumpkins, I guess it comes down to the age old question: Style (Matteo) or Substance (Nick)? I can't decide, because while Matteo's is obviously stylish and spot on, Nick's really captures, well only captures, Matteo's hilariously snarky personality.
