PETER!! You just about broke my heart when you just said “am I good enough”! I have said that to myself my whole life! I haven’t finished this video yet, so have no idea what the competition is, but whatever the result, whether you win or not, your object is awesome, and it will NOT be down to whether you are not good enough! You are amazing, you are inspirational, you are such a fabulous artist and man.. I love these collaborations that you are doing and that you are showcasing other artists that I have never really seen before, just goes to show what an awesome guy you are.. you are 100% enough! ❤

I thought the same. I absolutely love peters art, even if in comparison to such amazing other artists he "loses" he is still awesome. And for me there was never the question of "good enough"

Peter found the most unique object, very cool ( I wonder about shipping that with the gas fumes?). Jeremy has the sickest snake as that cupcake frosting, Natalie's translucent snakes and that little mouse!!! freakin loved that, but I gotta give it to Choots, he blew my mind, subverted my expectations and had a whole as story.

I loved the can itself, and then the color, the hand and snake was so dope. The Kobe tray was sick! I especially loved the hand serving the cupcake off of the tray. And that little mouse peeking through the flower was so cute!! But I gotta say, choots blew me away with that box!! He said it was arts and crafty but as artist we are our own worst critic. I loved every single element of that box. It was very fun and unique.

i loved the gas can as a great object, and the painting worked well. i loved the mouse hiding in the tray (best concept i thought), i loved Choots painting in and on the box, but i felt it didn't really match the sculpture (if it were empty with just the 2 paintings i would have voted for it) .. and i felt weird voting for the portrait bc i am ignorant of bball and the nickname reference. but it is just a top notch painting.

Always takes me a couple of days to distance myself from a piece to be happy with it. I was still gluing it all together and blasting it with a hairdryer half an hour before we had to meet up and show the work for the online meeting. There were parts I wanted to add that I had no time for, so my brain was still stuck in a critical scanning phase! Appreciate the kind words!

This works really well as inspiration for DIYs for the kitchen. Combining a cupcake theme with a snake give an edge to otherwise easily sentimental subject matter, providing a nice contrast and suiting a kitchen theme . The gas can is fantastic art, but flags behind the others a tad only because of less interesting use of the prompts and object, in my view. Since it's a canister, it makes easy inspiration for personalizing DIY tin baked goods canisters to house four and such. These are common enough at thrift shops--no need to spend on vintage-- and some could do with a new paint job and reinvention. Trays or wide plates are also ideal kitchen function and display item that make art usable. I'm so happy someone thought to make the cupcake frosting a snake, as that immediately popped into my head. The rectangle tray, meanwhile, is just such a stunning reworking of folk art into something that feels almost like a museum object. The boxed snake bakery nook statue is by far the most ambitious project and more multimedia than all the others, so it isn't as uniformly developed throughout as the others, but, with more time, it could be, and then it would be far better than the others, given it's the only pure art object that isn't functional and that leaves a lot of freedom for more free creative art expansion. Specifically, that inside space could be better developed after the challenge and be as incredible as the rest and more so. The facing door panel of the snake is an excellent poster in it's own right, well worth using as wall art on it's own.
