First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright Nick is right about his instincts. That’s where he is comparable to LeBron/Simmons/Kahwi/George. He’s amazing physically, but his Basketball IQ is Top-Tier for sure. Blocking the type of shots he does, is not mostly about his jumping. It’s his instinct for timing, and what choices guys are going to make.

Zion has the motor, the passion, the selflessness, the creativity, the athleticism, the IQ, the efficiency and he's aggressive on both sides of the court. Dude just scored 31 points against UNC and he barely touched the ball. Is anybody tracking points per touch, bc I bet Zion leads the NCAA in that statistic. He requires very few opportunities to accumulate the type of productivity he does. The fact that he doesn't even need to be the focal point of the offense is what will make him so valuable in the NBA. You don't have to worry about him stepping in his teammates toes or monopolizing the offense.

Oliver Lobb It’s not about 1 thing. That’s the point. Kemba/Carmelo came in from college, it was about their scoring. Zion is like Pippen when he came in. It’s not just 1 outstanding aspect, but a bunch of characteristics that have amazing potential.

First Things First is one of the sports talk show that doesn’t use its female mediator as a prop figure. I always love seeing Jenna involved in the conversation at times. Even the seating arrangement says a lot about how dialogue isn’t just centrally between the CC and Nick. It’s always awkward seeing 2 analysts talking while the woman just watches in silence, in the middle...it says all we need to know about how these shows still view women’s place in sports conversations.

Zion is kinda like a 6’8 Giannis or young Blake Griffin to me. I mean like Giannis is good all-around but his offense isnt really polished yet. He just outplays people athletically on offense and is a great rebounder, defender, and passer.
