Got mine a week ago, swap from op10 pro to op 13r took about 1h 30min (with 1h 20min was just transfering photos and videos (105GB)) and I have countered next to no issues. The only issues I had, were adressed and fixed on a system update just under 24h after buying.

Nice speed test! But please include in the test how the phone behaves right after unlocking after bootup, that will show how the software is optimized. Just unlock right after bootup and open and close a few apps and we will see how the software is optimized for immediate use. That would be great!

13R will give 6 years of security update. It'll last 6 years without any problem. And I'll use another 2 years after that. 8 years @32k inr. OnePlus is clear winner. 5x less expensive than 24 ultra. *32k on amazon after applying phone exchange + credit card offer

Samsung provides 7 years of updates. Take away the more bang for your buck, and which phone is actually better, and not only is the S24 Ultra better, but the S25 dropping in less than a month will be even better. Plus - S24 Ultra is discounted now ahead of the S25 Ultra release, so the cost difference isn't nearly as wide.

i opted for the 13 over the 13r mainly because of the ip rating and the faster charging. The 13r's ip65 rating concerns me because i have dropped my s9 in water a few times and the ip68 is a life saver, so thats a feature i dont want to lose. And if im getting a oneplus id like to take of advantage of those insane charge speeds. I probably would have been fine with the 13r's camera but camera is not the only reason to get the 13.

The software longevity and cameras are the two factors that make Samsung the winner here. One UI 7 seems miles better than the One UI 6 and I'm sure the next Android updates will make S series last 7-8 years

HOw is the RAM management? I heard that background apps get forced close and do not stay in RAM (Matthews tech video). So if i have opened a big microsoft form and filled half of it. Then after few mins i come back to that app, all the half filled data will be lost? That defeats the entire purpose of a mobile phone!!

i cant decide lol, i have a 6 year old phone and its time to upgrade. in my country the 13r is not 599$.. its actually 750-800 euro which is insane, imagine paying over 200$ more for it would you still buy it? and i can get a new s24 ultra for 900 euro so at that point that makes more sense, but the thing is i dont care about cameras at all and that seems to be the main difference, and the 13r battery is hard to pass up. Also i wont be able to even enjoy samsungs anti glare screen since there is no way i can use a phone without a tempered glass protector

@freezxng_moon If you're using Gmail, stay far away from OnePlus. I've had 2 OnePlus phones in the past and both of them had notification issues and unfixable Gmail problems. I wouldn't get any notifications from Gmail and I couldn't send any type of attachments. It seems to be a fairly common problem with OnePlus phones. I googled the Gmail problem for 13 and 13r, and it sounds like it still hasn't been fixed. The specs are very tempting though.

This test is very vague, it's more reaction of the OP then the phone. For the Oneplus make sure you have high performance turned on and go into developer mode and turn the app animation from 1x to 0 and see how snappy and super fast the phone becomes.

First make sure both phones are connected to the same Wifi which you haven't shown. That's an obvious red flag for a fake speed test and secondary you have stopped or edited video in between performing speed tests. I bet it's not a fair speed test. Ultra has a terrible screen actually. Like the IPS screen from 2005: very greenish, dark and terrible viewing angles. Also, PWM is lower, than S23 Ultra, but eyes still hurt after 5-10 minutes of reading text on this screen. S-Pen is useless. And it smells with cheap burned plastic. Cameras... don't know. I bought a smartPHONE, not a camera.
