Moray eels can temporarily slither over land. That is how to go to these tide pools to wait for prey like crabs during low tide. You didn't save anything.
@vaulted42395 ай бұрын
I’ve seen many moray eel catching videos and they don’t seem to traverse land very well. Sure they slither but they seem to be able to move like a centimeter an hour. They’re not very good at traversing land.

I'm an avid scuba diver, and have swam with more moray eels than I can count. I'd like to take a moment to call out how stupid this was. You didn't save anything. The eel was completely fine, and you put it more at risk by trying to capture and release it vs leaving it alone.....You know there is always a high and low tide, and this eel would have been fine when the tide came back in, but you chose views and clicks over common sense. To anyone else that reads this, if you come across a moray eel in this situation, please leave it alone. Not only can you risk hurting it trying to remove it, but they have razor sharp teeth, and can severely injure you with its bite, should it feel threatened and become aggressive. Don't be stupid. Don't be like Nick Bingo.
