Hi mate, the reason for the level crossing signal showing green is because it’s an automatic half barrier level crossing meaning that it will automatically close when the train is 27 seconds away when at line speed meaning the signalling just leaves it on green? It’s not their responsibility

3:50 That waiting shelter you like includes a design feature that British Telecom started adding to telephone boxes, after they were privatised - a big air gap at the bottom that lets in drafts and freezes your feet. I believe that sort of feature is there to make sure the shelters are not so nice that homeless people will sleep in them. I think that shelters like that really suck, especially outside London, where the train frequencies are so poor that you might actually need to wait a couple of hours in the shelter. In staffed stations I've seen plenty of shelters without the evil air gap and with doors. Shelters like that work much much better in the cold weather.

Netherfield is a rather bizzard station. It gets 10 trai s a day and only 3 go to Nottingham. The rest go to Skeggy or Grantham. There is one on a Saturday where it goes through to Liverpool for some reason. 😂

You can just go onto a ticket booking site like trainline and look at the prices? Literally takes a few minutes to look it up. £23.80 for anytime day return tickets. £15.50 fo offpeak day return tickets (you can only use this ticket on any service after 09:15 (including the 09:15 service)
