Hey Nick, I know this is off track, but a long while back I had asked you about the Aurora RC QAV 105 had just up and stopped working. I was going thru some older quads and found it and decided to check it out and still not working, so I went and upgraded the FC to 3.5.5 firmware and Bam it fly's better than ever. Had to use BFL 3.0. Very happy I did not trash it. Hope your wrist feels better. Have great day.

What an innovative design! GepRC 👏well done. Seems that if weight is a consideration (particularly if you want to to be sub-250g) then either you need to use a small pack with this one, or consider a 2.5" version... Where is the Cinelog25 v3 at??? 🤔

Great review and info as always. I happen to have the CineBOT 30 - any idea why they make both the CineLog and CineBot versions? Also they seem to have dropped that springy mounting system for the cameras, do you think that that system was worth having or is it not really necessary? When i bought my Bot30 it really seemed like the Bot versions are the latest and greatest but clearly they have invested in tooling for the CineLog30.
@NickBurnsFPV3 күн бұрын
Ya know I don't know why they have two lines in the same quad category. I am not sure what is referenced by the "springy mounting" is that the rubber dampening of the camera?
@GMx_13 күн бұрын
@@NickBurnsFPV Take a look at this link for the Cinebot30. Look at how the camera is mounted onto a plate that is attached to the frame via some bolts but between the plates there are these rubber dampers that allow the camera plate to have some "float" to it.
@gertjanaertgeerts3 күн бұрын
@@GMx_1 The O4 is still mounted with the rubber dampers on this one.
@GMx_13 күн бұрын
@@gertjanaertgeerts I did not see that in the image at first but I can see it now - it looks like they changed the design and the way this plate gets mounted. I wonder if there is a performance difference between the 2 designs.

Don't the antennas come of easily when hitting a wall or something?

Hey Nick, you ever experience bad telemetry with the stock geprc receivers? I got the V3 with 03 and right out the box every couple seconds it’s “telemetry lost telemetry connected” over and over. This is my first geprc quad/ receiver. Usually use radiomaster and have never had that problem unless antenna was damaged but it did this from day one before any crashes

No I haven't or if I have it didn't make much of an impression on me. Is the telemetry lost interval pretty quick? Does it happen in any specific scenario?

@NickBurnsFPV2 күн бұрын
I don't have a full gopro so I didn't test it, but with 4s and 3inch prop it shouldn't be an issue. Of course flight time will be markedly different than I have in this video.

Wish you get better faster with your hand! When you gonna do your "more aggressive flights, could you try how this one pulls out some dives please? Where do you live, looks such a nice lovely palce. At first place looks like you don't need that action camera mount with the O4 and you can reduce some weight, but seems like it protects the O4 camera a bit, doesn't it?

In NH, we are in the middle of a storm. 6 to 12 inches of snow are expected in our area; put outside flying on hold. I am thinking about waterproofing one of my whoops, I was wondereing how the cold of the snow will affect electronics if i cash, or should i say when i crash😊
@NickBurnsFPV3 күн бұрын
The cold shouldn't impact the electronics much as long as we aren't out so long they become frozen, even then I am not sure how much of an impact that would have. The cold is going to impact the durability of plastics and the battery.

The snow/water getting on VTX/voltage regulator chips is the only immediate issue (other than the longer term corrosion). The thermal shock will crack them immediately or cause an eventual failure. @NickBurnsFPV3 күн бұрын
I think we would have to buy without vtx and add in our own.
@DigitalCruzer3 күн бұрын
@NickBurnsFPV yeah I'm not sure how the o4 is mounted and if the camera would mount up, can you drill or mount holes for normal camera mounting or does it already have it? And also will the VTX still fit in there? the o4 vtx looks smaller then a moonlight, those companies like geprc and flywoo don't seem to give much for options for fitting Walksnail moonlight after almost a year... always just DJI and maybe analog, but i have no interest in dji stuff, the crazy latency made me ill and race mode cropping the fov always sucks to use... Walksnail's latency is much more stable, so i can tolerate it. Though i have not tried the o4, but I'm already invested in Walksnail and the moonlight is plenty good enough image for me, plust ee have the gt option, nobody seems to make a frame for a moonlight/gt at all???
@DigitalCruzer3 күн бұрын
Ok, i found a picture on their website where they show the removal action cam mount, looks easy enough to make new holes for different cameras, but do you think the moonlight VTX will fit inside it? I tried doing a foxwoop with moonlight, just wasn't enough room though, so it's got a 1s v2 kit in it, but i like flying in the woods and i want more penetration and 4k dvr with sd card would be nice...
@NickBurnsFPV2 күн бұрын
@@DigitalCruzer I would expect the moonlight to fit but don't recall the physical measurements of both off the top of my head.

@NickBurnsFPV dji o4 vtx is supposed to be 33.5 x 33.5 x 13mm and the moonlight VTX is larger at 34.5mm x 34.5mm x 15.3mm. i have no way to see if it would fit in there, i doubt it though. Iy sucks these companies only want to do dji crap... Just another reason I hate DJI!

Thanks Nick! Watching at 2160p but the sky and clouds look really blocky. For goggle footage, VTX and GoPro. What’s up with that? Did you upload to KZbin at a relatively low bitrate? Anyone else noticing this?
@NickBurnsFPV3 күн бұрын
I uploaded a 4k file. Maybe right click the file and select "stats for nerds" to see the post YT render information. Maybe some extra dropped frames due to bandwidth?
@Fpv_Dad3 күн бұрын
yeah noticed it too
@BigWhoopFPV3 күн бұрын
@@NickBurnsFPV Hmm, it's not dropped frames. In all areas of the footage with low contrast, there's a lot of blockiness that looks like aggressive compression - not just the sky, also the walls & large tree trunks as you go past. No idea what bitrate the file KZbin's serving me is, those stats aren't shown... but I'm guessing they're doing something to over-compress your 4k footage. As all 3 camera sources show the same artefacts, I'd presume it's KZbin that's to blame for making everything look so blocky and compressed. Are you able to make a snippet of the original 4k O4 Pro VTX (and GoPro?) footage available for download anywhere? Thanks again for the comprehensive info. Really appreciate your videos, hope you can say goodbye to the cast soon and then get to some proper ripping! 🤘🏻 (Edit to add: I haven't seen this compression in other footage from this quad / the O4 Pro, e.g. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX7YXnSDgJKtq7M - so I also wonder if you're exporting at a lower bitrate (albeit in 4k resolution) than is ideal for 4k on KZbin, hence asking if you could maybe share some original footage files).
